This is such a fabulous place! We loved our Christmas at the Schloss and could not have been more delighted with our stay. The apartment is more comfortable than we expected, there are extraordinary views from every window, we had our own castle for Christmas, what’s not to love?

We arrived Oct. 6, 2023 at about 17.00 Hr in the afternoon...
We arrived Oct. 6, 2023 at about 17.00 Hr in the afternoon we dit not receive the message with the information on how to enter our Room because we were traveling still. When we arrived we noticed the message on the stairs down to the basement area and found the key in the #2 metal basket we opened the door and entered through the outside door of the basement. We found the #2 room on the end of the corridor and opened it we were totally amazed what we found a real small Beth with a head (single 1 person) Head pillow with virtually no filling, and also a skimpy 1 person (what was ones a Overthrow and not a blanket) that also was ones had some filling. It looked and smelled the Beth linen was used and not changed for the new Gests. There was no way we would stay there and spend the night. This was totally not what we expected and inadequate. We made pictures of this disaster and left leaving the keys in the aforementioned basket with a note that we will not use this room and want our money back. We got a room at Holliday In in Darmstadt for the night. It did cost us a lot more but is worth it we could not stay in that Dump. I did write a email to the owner but no reply. The only thing what I received was a request to “Rate” our stay.

Friendly staff who spoke English. Central location. Old fashioned small hotel charm as distinct from the more sterile corporate hotel options. Breakfast option was very good.
Comfortable hotel, easily located if you travel by car (on site parking). Excellent restaurant with beautiful terrace and garden. We could also bring our cat.
The hotel is in the center of the old town. Very conveniently located. The accommodations are fine and the breakfast, adequate. The staff is wonderful.
