Very well finished rooms in an older building, looks like it has had a recent makeover and it's been done very well. Quaintly decorated rooms downstairs for breakfast/dinner. Area for dinner outside.
One of the staff was able to talk to us in English, which was appreciated as our German is minimal. She didn't think she did that well, but she was perfectly understandable.
The Arador-City Hotel is located in Bad Oeynhausen, just a 5-minute walk from the main train station. It offers large rooms, free parking spaces and a daily breakfast buffet.

We loved the Minden Cathedral and the old city which was easily reached by bus. We also enjoyed the river and there was a great river cruise which took us through the lock and into the canal above the river. The Amanda Ferry crossing was fun.. We enjoyed local markets and a wine festival.
