The breakfast was very good. This was a last minute decision during a long trip and we were very happy with the accommodation. The communication with the pension was very responsive. I would like to take time to go back and explore this location and stay at this pension.

Little hotel, not the fancy place, but so full of small little details that make you smile, from the amazing staff and attention to how breakfast and dinner are served. Comfy clean rooms, amazing lake views and delicious food.
- The breakfast: small variety but tasting great, served in a great way and with a lot of attention from the staff
- The young team of staff during afternoon-evening shift: Super nice, attentive and friendly. you are amazing, thanks a lot!
- The restaurant chef during dinner is a master and the food was great.
- The Fireplace-common room is a gem! With all sorts of drinks and amazing atmosphere it was a haven! We were there during spring but I believe in cold winters with a lot of snow it should be magical as well.
Bad Grund is in a perfect distance to the motor way and it...
Bad Grund is in a perfect distance to the motor way and it is worth to spend the extra travel time. It is a traditional town in western Harz, where the time somehow runs slower. Everybody is really friendly and positive towards visitors. We always chat with all kind of people there.
Everything was perfect - smooth and friendly check in, convenient parking, clean and spacious apartment, cozy sauna, delicious and healthy breakfast options. For eggs they even offer different ways of cooking freshly. Nice decorations everywhere in the restaurant and the hotel room. Beautiful garden outside, we already plan to come back in summer time and stay here!! Worth mentioning is also the location, it’s located in a beautiful small town, where you could directly start your hike.
We booked a triple room and we had plenty of space for 2 adults and a teenager.
The hotel room was super clean.
Beds were comfortable and we had a good night.
The free car park was convenient because it was just in front of the hotel.
The host was really nice: he made our very late check-in very smooth.
I strongly recommend the hotel.
Super friendly host, who gave me telephone advice how best to reach the hotel - it's nice and quiet because of the location ln the Harz Forrest - Hotel interior is newly renovated to a high standard - breakfast was fantastic - I loved my stay and will be back!
Superb hotel. I’ve staid in fancier, but the ‘apartment’ was more than adequate and the restaurant was great. More important the staff/owner were very helpful and friendly and the price very competitive. Bad Grund is also a very attractive (and small) town.
