The breakfast was more than adequate and the freshly made omlettes were delicious! We stayed in the Dachsbau, which is an apartment with all the utilities one needs (no internet!). The cleanliness was ok, there were coffee marks on furniture and webs around the place. Nonetheless, we slept wonderfully! A highlight was the little farm attached to the complex. The fine-dining experience in the evening was yummy. I loved the ravioli and my husband was blown away by how tender his meat was. The location was chosen to be a little out of the way. The previous Ritterhof was magically decorated and wonderful to walk around at night and daytime.

It was great stay. We enjoyed with the kids. Plenty of choice from the breakfast buffet even for people with food allergies.

The location was great. About 15 minutes walk to the bus and metro stops to go to Weimar and Erfurt. The tourist tax gives you free travel to Weimar on these. Bad Berka is a small and attractive town. Lots of walking possible in the Kurpark and surrounding countryside. The owner is extremely friendly and gives lots of information. The apartment is very spacious and well equipped.
What a lovely guest house!! Our rooms (3 separate rooms for 5 adults traveling together) were all spacious and comfortable with added extras in the bathroom. It felt like a 5 star hotel. We had a very pleasant stay, a good breakfast the next morning. Parking on site. We walked a couple of blocks into the town square to a Pizzeria for our evening meal. Highly recommended.
The breakfast was tasty and the coffee just right. We also appreciated the willingness of the staff to wash our clothes, because we weren't able to find a laundromat in Bad Berka. Most of all, we really enjoyed visiting with the staff! You all were wonderful! Thanks so much!
