I really love this place. The host is very friendly and gave me a warm welcome. The house is extremely nice, comfortable and cozy. Beautiful even. It also has a nice outside area which I didn't have time to use. It really felt like home for the one evening I was there, and even the next morning. It was almost a pity to leave.
The Ahr Valley (which was badly affected by floods in 2021) is also very beautiful and the people seem friendly and welcoming. Come here so you can make a contribution to the recovery of the region

It was a lovely hotel, really friendly staff and we could even still eat something at the restaurant even though they had already started to close down for the evening. The rooms were newly renovated, comfortable and really clean. Breakfast was more like a Break-Feast with literally anything you would ever need.

Like a phoenix rising from the ashes. We have stayed in this area for many years and after the flood disaster wondered if we would ever go back. However Hotel Ruland have certainly given us a reason to return and I am sure once the surrounding building works are complete it will be more than perfect
This is an ordinary decent hotel, but it is the only one operating in the tourist village of Altenahr after the 2021 floods which severely damaged the town. As a result prices are very high, but the place was full, so if you have to be in Altenahr book early.
A lovely location, comfortable hotel, really friendly owners and excellent breakfast. The Ahr valley is gorgeous and in the light of the very obvious flood damage, those making a go of it deserve every support.
We like all there, from the first contact, Room, Restaurant food and Service. The Rooms were perfekt. The team were very helpful. I strongly recommend these Hotel, if you want to sleep and eat perfectly.
