Špindlerův Mlýn is gorgeous, there are a lot of different hiking trails to choose from allowing everyone to pick what suits them no matter their athletic abilities or age.
For sure a great location to head our with pets and families :)

Incredible for hiking in the summer! There were plenty of different routes to choose from and the views were stunning.
The selection of local restaurants available was also very good. Jasmine Curry in particular was amazing. The Hubertus Restaurant and Trautenberg Restaurant were also great for Czech food.

My recent stay at Pension Slunečnice was a delightful escape into the serene beauty of the mountains. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with warm hospitality and genuine care from the staff, making me feel instantly at ease.
One of the highlights of my stay was the delicious breakfast served at Restaurace Farma. The culinary offerings were a true delight, with a variety of fresh and flavorful dishes that tantalized my taste buds each morning. The stylish ambiance of the restaurant added to the dining experience, making each meal feel like a special occasion.
In addition to the exceptional dining options, the breathtaking views from my room were simply mesmerizing. Waking up to the sight of towering mountains and lush forests was a surreal experience that left me feeling rejuvenated and inspired.
The pension's private spa was another standout feature, providing a sanctuary of relaxation and tranquility. The steam room and sauna offered the perfect respite from the brisk mountain air, while the large jacuzzi provided a luxurious escape for unwinding after a day of exploration.

I love Špindl, excellent place to relax at any time of the year. Village is very cosy, lots of nice accommodations, restaurants, easy to rent the skis or bike. Excellent for hiking, skiing, biking. Of course, not comparable to big ski resorts in the Alps, but small and cosy, almost empty during the working days of the week (if it's not schools'ski vacation). It's not so high in altitude (the top is 1230m), so snow conditions need to be good in order to enjoy the slopes.

Very basic, but very good value. B&b in nice and very interesting authentic historic house in calm part of Spindleruv Mlyn.
Small and basic but clean rooms with nice views and absolutely sufficient for a short stay. Possibility to arrange all-day parking at the b&b parking lot on the day of departure was a nice addition.
Wonderful hotel in the center of Spindleruv Mlyn. Everything is just perfect: location, breakfast, parking, price. Very nice and welcoming personal. Modern and comfortable furniture, comfortable bathroom and well working heating. I will be happy to stay here again next time in Špindleruv and try sauna.

Great hotel: comfortable rooms with excellent views of the mountains, delicious breakfasts and dinners, friendly staff, close to the ski lifts to Medvedin — 10-15 minutes by foot. They upgraded our room and it was very nice. We'll be happy to return!
