I think Sokolov is quite underestimated as a tourist attraction. There is a wonderful downtown square, and a worth seeing Coal Minors' house.
We had some meal at the restaurant Galeria situated at the main square. Nice staff and meal. Strongly recommend it. ot far from Sokolov there is a Bernard's State, It is a wonderful place with a pleasnt atmosphere in the midst of nature.

Nice and peaceful location. Very friendly and welcoming hosts. Breakfast was plentiful and the dining area always nicely prepared with great attention to details. Rooms are well equipped, comfortable bed. It’s a dog friendly hotel and it was a massive plus for us.

Friendly staff, clean room, good breakfast. The staffs were helpful, I needed a taxi cab but couldn't really communicate in Czech so the staff did the necessary to call a taxi for me and provide coordinates. I would recommend Piano Hotel to anyone travelling to Sokolov.
The food was great. Very good breakfast. I also had dinner at the hotel both nights. They have an extensive menu. Every thing I ordered was very tasty. Superb trout and paté of venison.
