The breakfast was a good buffet breakfast, nothing particularly special or extensive, but a very sufficient variety of choices.
The location was very good. It was in a nice, quiet park. I didn't realize until the second day the window had been ajar (with a screen!) the whole time, that's how quiet it was!

Mama's Boutique hotel was fantastic. About a 5 minute walk from the main train station. The rooms are very comfortable and have some AC which was helpful during summer.

The manager was very patient with me. in teaching me how to open the front door. i don't have a cell phone, so the local policeman called the cell phone number and I met the manager. The comical and loud part is the bell that dings every 15 minutes all day and night. It reminded me of a hotel room in Venice. The manager recommended a restaurant on the roundabout. It is excellent! I believe I left my charger there for my tablet. My mistake! He set up the DVD player for me. He was really kind.

With 15 thousand inhabitants, definitely off the beaten path. Has nice bike paths and a water taxi on the Elbe River, but no Uber nor Bolt (as of 2023). There is a lot of history in this town, back to at least 1250. I would not be surprised if Nymburk turned into a tourist destination in the future.

our stay in Nymburk was short and we were there to attend a Showdown tournament. One tip if arriving by train be sure to have 10ckz if you want to use the Loo the attendant does not have any English and does not seem to understand Euros. The only occasion we were not able to either pay in Euros or by bank card.
What we saw of Nymburk, the park the Church the City wall the Historic Hydro electric plant ( built 1914 according to our host) all on our walk from the station to the accommodation would tempt us back to have a longer stay to explore and enjoy Nymburk.

Everything went smoothly, nice flat located in a very calm area near a large Lidl and Kaufland. I however did not have any time to go to Nymburk city so I dont know how good the location is in terms of what is happening there, But looking at the map its obviously fairly central, Very accommodating with check-in times and also allowed for late checkout. Fully equipped kitchen. I arrived back to the room both days in the middle of the night and there was no issues to access the flat. No issues with English communication. Top.

The service was helpful and the hotel was better than expected. The price ratio to the quality is good. Good for haveing a place to sleep while biking around. I liked the city as well, especially the nearby icecreams!
Really nice surroundings for the hotel, a big leafy park, nice walks and quiet relaxation as soon as you step out. Room was excellent as was breakfast. Restaurant, one excellent meal but....
