We think Kvilda is a good base for walking in the Sumava.
We think Kvilda is a good base for walking in the Sumava. There is a good road to Kvilda. There is a helpful Information Centre with a wildlife display in the rear. We were given a map showing the walking trails which are colour coded. There are signposts and coloured markings. We stayed on the hard-surfaced paths. I would not recommend going off the hard-surfaced paths without expect knowledge.
Everything was excellent. Kvilda itself is a magical place. The house had all amenities, nothing was lacking. Kitchen & dining were big and suitable for 8 of us. Location is excellent with wonderful views all around. Lots of hiking possible. Grocery store 10 min walk. Parking space available. Clean, beautiful, quiet property, responsive host. What more can one ask for?
Kvilda is an exceptional place surrounded with a lovely landscape of the Boheian Forest/Sumava. The accommodation is superb and cozy and offers a beautiful view. The hosts are supportive and very pleasant. Just - thank you !
