The apartment was spotless and fully prepared for our arrival. It had all the amenities we needed, making our stay comfortable. The hosts were incredibly helpful and responded quickly to all our messages. We initially booked the wrong apartment by mistake, but they graciously accepted our request for a free cancellation and assisted us in booking the correct one. We’re definitely looking forward to returning!

Didn't have breakfast. Very early departure.
I really like Kolin and have stayed here a number of times and I'll be back again in December.
This is not really a tourist town. Only staying there because of Czech family nearby. However, it has great railway hub, eg Prague in 40 mins and I can recommend the Spa town of Podebrady. Travel is exceptionally cheap - 75% discount for Seniors and kids so really easy to get around even if you pay full rate and you don't need to be a Czech national nor have a discount card.
In my opinion Kolin is punching above it's weight!

Lovely little place not far from Prague!
Lovely little place not far from Prague! Perfect for high season like Christmas/New Years time - you can get a reasonably priced accomodation there and escape the toursitic crowds; yet it only takes 35 min by train to go to Prague. Would also work great as a main destination, two days would be perfectly enough to explore the place.
Quite a few interesting art noveau buildings; impressive cathedral; baroque church with an ancient cemetery nearby (was closed when I visited the place, unfortunately); great and not at all expensive restaurants in the main square; beautiful view of the Laba river; pretty city park... Quiet and peaceful place!

Because I had earlier, stupidly, left my suitcase on a train heading for the far east of Poland at Breclav, and subsequently having to travel to Bohumin just before the Polish border(phew), I was going to be arriving late(around 2030 instead of 1730). The pleasant young lady on reception awaited my arrival, thankfully.
Breakfast cooked to order, sausage ,bacon and eggs. Very good.
Hotel is situated around 10 minutes walk from Kolin station, and about 5 minutes from the lovely Kolin town centre.
A very friendly reception. The receptionist was lovely, and helpful. Breakfast was fine. Scrambled eggs first day, fried eggs second day, no time third day, dashing off for a train.
Location is perfect, 10 to 15 minutes from Kolin station. When I arrived it was snowing, adding to the charm of this lovely town. The big church is just at the top of the road where the hotel is situated. The room was fine.
The staff were friendly and helpful. Off site parking close to the hotel. The room was good value, and generally clean. The shower had good pressure and water was hot. We booked a double the bed was comfortable but could have done with more than one pillow each.
The pension is 15 mins walk from Kolin railway station. I checked in at 9pm but there was an automatic check in and the manager communicated well i was on top floor no lift. The room was clean and tidy. I would use again
Hotel was a 12 minute walk from the main railway station, passing through the main shopping area of Kolin. Room was tidy and reasonably large. I didn't have breakfast. The price was lower than in Prague .
