We stayed at The Retreat in December and had a fantastic time. The Irish owner (we can’t remember his name) was really welcoming and did his best to make every guest feel at home. You can tell that he truly loves the island, his job and has a passion for hospitality. The meals in the evening were tasty and copious. Nothing was too much in terms of dietary requirements. Dinners were shared as a group which was really handy to get to know people and share experiences and best treks.
On the last morning we were going back to the harbour and he gave us a lift. Thank you for a lovely time, we hope to be back at the Retreat soon as it was our favourite place on this beautiful island.

What a great place Marco and his mother are running! A true paradise in the middle of town. Marco speaks English very well and is always available for help or a chat. Beautiful garden and all kept buildings!

Well sign posted, bright, clean spacious room with windows and good lighting, use of kitchen, great water pressure and very hot shower, one shared bathroom between 2 rooms only so no waiting around to use, 5 minute walk to shops, front door key given and very reliable internet.
