Check-in was a breeze although no English was spoken. The room was small but clean and the property has a nice garden + pool. On the map it might seem that the property is located a bit further from the town center but a passage trough the riverbed (most of the year it's dry) makes it only a short walk. Breakfast is adequate! All in all a good experience

The apartment features two good-sized bedrooms, a spacious living and dining area, large bathroom, plus a well-stocked kitchen. The ample sunlight and cooling ventilation makes it comfortable all day long. The setting is tranquil and pleasant within a fertile garden in the spectacular valley above Ribeira Grande, very close to town. You can walk to local markets, eateries, and stores in 10 minutes. The staff is very helpful and friendly, ready to assist with any matter and offer produce from the garden.
This is also a great location to do most of the spectacular drives around the island or choose any of the stunning hikes available in the mountains or coastline.
We stayed longer than we planned because we loved it so much.
