The road to the hotel doesn't require a 4×4 car. We were driving late in the evening and in the rain and had no issues to get up there. We were surprised by many reviews concerned about the road condition and saying to use only 4x4. We had a regular SUV (not 4x4), and felt that even in a sedan it should be OK.

The big pros: 10-15 minute walk to local access of the beach, relatively comfortable beds (the mattresses appeared to be new, and had comfort tops), and the pool is set back into the trees, so it feels very immersed in the rainforest. The two staff members we interacted with were also very friendly, as was the very charming rescue dog in the office.

This is an exceptional boutique hotel situated high up in the jungle mountain. It has an amazing view to the ocean and jungle and the sunsets are just gorgеous .
