A Perfect Spot for Surfers!
We stayed in a private room at the hostel, and it was great.
The location is fantastic—just a short walk from the beach, restaurants, and the supermarket. The staff are incredibly friendly and always ready to assist, creating a welcoming, calm and respectful atmosphere. Nights are peaceful, as most guests turn in early to catch the morning waves.
We had the chance to meet fellow travelers from all over the world, which added a special touch to our stay.
Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and we’d definitely come back!

The hosts Gilly and Pierre were terrific providing thoughtful treats in the kitchen as well as a wealth of information about the area. The pool and patio were an oasis from the heat while also providing a wildlife viewing platform for monkeys, sloths, birds and butterflies. Just a perfect place to relax and re-energize at the midpoint of our trip.

This is our second time staying at Cafe de la Suerte and both times have been so wonderful. Its great for our little family. Its comfortable and the owners and staff are so nice and accomodating. They make you feel right at home.

Such a lovely place, Carlos our host was so kind. We originally planned on arriving around 1pm, but we had car problems and ended up arriving at 5pm. I was in contact with Carlos the whole time and he greeted us even though we arrived late. The apartment was very clean and very well equipped. We stayed for 3 nights and didn’t have a car, we were able to walk to all the super markets and the main surf spot very easily. The apartment has air conditioning which is very nice, great for recovering after a full day of surfing. On our way out Carlos gave us a ride to our mechanic. We will definitely be coming back and recommending this place to our friends.
Also a fun plus - his dogs were super friendly and waited to walk with us to the beach every day 😂❤️

the town was small but with many services available- 3 grocery stores, souvenir shops, surf board rentals, hostels and hotels, restaurants, etc. It is right on the coast. the is very rocky during the high tide but during the low tide, when you can see the rocks, it is nice to walk around them into the sandy bottom ocean.
