The hostel is very central in Paquera. It has all the facilities needed for a short stay and it was very clean. The best thing was the service!! Roman is amazing, extremely kind and helpful!! He helped me booking a taxi from Paquera Port to the hotel! I arrived late and he waited kindly and checked that I was fine during my travel. I felt very well taken care of! I would definitely recommend this hostel and Roman to everyone!

Jungle Tent 3x3, Latino Glamping & Tours, Paquera, hotel in Paquera

Offering a garden and garden view, Jungle Tent 3x3, Latino Glamping & Tours, Paquera is situated in Paquera, 9.2 km from Tortuga Island and 33 km from Montezuma Waterfal.

In the midst of the jungle. Amazing. Clean (how Wilma keeps everything so clean in the jungle is a mystery!). The attention to detail to make guests comfortable. Nice kitchen. These ecological toilets are so much better than conventional- no smell, blockage or waste of water. Showers are spacious and equipped with soap & shampoo. Only cold water, but it's hot outside so it was fine. Even though the jungle is full of mosquitos, the hosts make efforts to reduce the problem. They light coils at each room and have netting at the room and over the beds. Thanks! Each unit is distanced to give privacy. Unfortunately cigarette smoke carries though. Even better than the 10/10 facilities are the owners. So kind and caring. Don't miss the bioluminescence tour if you're there at the right time. It's a highlight of a visit to Costa Rica.

Fully Furnished FAMILY JUNGLE TENT, Latino Glamping Paquera, hotel in Paquera

Offering garden views, Fully Furnished FAMILY JUNGLE TENT, Latino Glamping Paquera is an accommodation situated in Paquera, 9.2 km from Tortuga Island and 34 km from Montezuma Waterfal.

We stayed at the jungle tent for one night as we had arranged to do the Bioluminescence tour with Franco. The location is just perfect, it’s at the end of a long track and is surrounded by forest. The jungle tent was a really good size and it was a short walk to the showers and toilets. The wildlife around the tent was great, we saw a variety of birds, frogs, crabs and howler monkeys. We did the Bioluminescence tour in the evening which was excellent and a really good social with Franco, his assistant and another couple. Afterwards we returned and Franco and Wilma lit a fire for us and joined us for a drink. The reception we received was very warm and Franco and Wilma are lovely people and can’t do enough to help. In the morning we walked to the beach, the dogs joined us and showed us the way. This took around 20 minutes. The beach is wonderful, it’s large and empty. We saw red Macaw there. The visit felt very authentic and a bit of the touristy track which we enjoyed. I highly recommend it.

We loved our hotel and would stay there again.

We loved our hotel and would stay there again. "Rustic" but also charming and with a friendly staff. We took the Tortuga Island snorkeling trip through Bahia Rica and highly recommend that company. The boat took us to several islands to see beautiful wildlife and gorgeous scenery. We also took a bioluminescence tour which was very fun.

We chose Paquera for the boat trip to Isle of Tortuga.

We chose Paquera for the boat trip to Isle of Tortuga. We booked through Project Expedition Bahiarica and were very happy with our day on the boat with snorkeling and some time on the island. We went to breakfast and dinner at several restaurants there in Paquera and we’re happy with all of them. The beach at Playa Giganitis was amazing with lots of monkeys in the trees at the end of the beach. The town itself is small with few motels but plenty of restaurants and gorgeous beaches. The people were very friendly!

Three days and four nights was perfect for us. There's honestly not a lot to do in Paquera, but it was a great place to be. Nice local vibe, less tourists than other areas. It has a real local feel to it.

Paquera is crossroads town and a good place to catch the ferry back to Puntarenas if you're coming from Montezuma. There is a lot of traffic in town and it's very dusty but they are paving as of Feb. 2020. Swimming in bio-luminescent waters is a truly amazing experience and worth the stop here. However, beware of the food place at Organo Beach. Be sure you get a quote for whatever you order. We didn't and it was by far our most expensive meal in all of Costa Rica! It was yummy but not worth the exorbitant price we paid.
