Ambos Mundos Hotel Boutique, hotel in Taganga

Ambos Mundos Hotel Boutique has an outdoor swimming pool, garden, a terrace and restaurant in Taganga.

The staff is absolutely wonderful, welcoming and helpful. This alone would recommend me the hotel. Some people might need to get used to the street, but we loved to stay between locals and get in contact with them while going to the more touristic parts of Taganga.

Paraíso Casa de Playa, hotel in Taganga

Situated in Taganga, Paraíso Casa de Playa offers beachfront accommodation a few steps from Playa Grande and features various facilities, such as a garden, a shared lounge and a terrace.

It is a very nice hotel with lovely rooms and a stunning view in a remote place, that you can just reach via boat or a 20 minute hike (we managed the hike at 10pm in the dark with two small kids, so it is not too hard). Henry and his wife were super friendly and we felt at home. The beach is nice - especially when you can enjoy it without the crowds that enter the beach in the middle of the day. In the morning and evening we had the beach all for ourselves whoch was great! We highly recommend Puro Paraiso Eco Lodge!

The view from the room to the sea was amazing. Also the breakfast venue on the rooftop terrace had a fantastic view. The location was very close to the beach and restaurants. The beach itself could be improved in cleanliness.

Beach area and main street along the lagoon trashy but looks beautiful from afar. Two restaurants nice, clean and relaxing others I would not consider. No shops to poke your head into that look inviting. 1 day as a pass through would be enough time but not as a destination. I stayed at Techos Azules overlooking lagoon area and a short walk to the beach/lagoon area which is ideal. If you stay in hostels I would not book the one (white building) located on the beachfront.

I loved the view from the window, the apartment was gorgeous and clean. It had a breakfast bar, a fridge, excellent wifi. It was perfect for working and during the day I could walk to the beach and have lunch. The owner Jackie is wonderful and sweet. Anything that you need she helps with and even provided fresh coffee in the morning. Thanks for an amazing stay! The mountains and sunsets are beautiful!

Friendly people.. roads and beach not perfect but added to the charm.. good vibe to the place. No Starbucks or McDonald’s 😁😁😁 Scuba shops all over.. Recommend Reef Shepherds! Was good dive just in the bay, but think better in park.. didn’t go due to Vis!

I thought that staying out of Santa Marta would be quieter but not so. There isn't a whole lot to do in Taganga. To get to Tayrona you have to go back to Santa Marta anyway, unless you get the boat from Taganga. A few days was enough. Babaganoush is a lovely restaurant - I only knew of it because a friend had told me.

This place was too jarring for me.

This place was too jarring for me. If you want to party and pay extra for everything, this is the place to go. It has obviously been jaded by tourism. There are so many other beautiful places in Colombia to visit. I stayed here one night and then moved on to Santa Marta. It worth it.

The weekends ( and probably public holidays) are noisy and the weekdays quiet. The resort has an edgy reputation but we found it fine during the day and early evening. There are some good places to eat.

I don’t have enough good words to say about my stay here in hotel San Marcos! There are cleaners daily that make the bed and wash the bathrooms. There is water available to all guests in the lobby, hammocks on the rooftop. Maria is just the loveliest woman! Really enjoyed my stay here- so much so that I extended from 2 to 5 days! Really near all diving centers - there is also a breakfast served daily. A fab spot!

Juan Carlos was a lovely tentative host. He speaks good enough English that we were able to converse. He allowed us to have a late check out as we were waiting for a flight and booked us a taxi to pick us up. Room was big and clean with fans and only a short walk to the beach. Wifi was good. Overall felt very welcomed and was nice to be in a family run hostel. Exceptional for what you pay

Carolina and her family make you feel immediately at home. It’s a steep walk up the mountain to enter the hostel, but the view is more than worth it. Cielo hostel is perfect place to experience the more tranquillo but excellent vibes of the fisherman’s village of Taganga.

There were very friendly staff working there, who explained everything we could do whilst staying in Taganga. The hostel was very pretty and clean (it looked much nicer in real life than the pictures), and was very good for the price. Would highly recommend.
