A charming hotel in a peaceful setting and beautifully kept grounds. The staff, particularly Jose, were friendly, helpful and polite. A delicious breakfast was served each morning with a smile plus free tea, coffee and filtered water was available all day long. The beds were comfortable and everywhere was very clean. The veranda was spacious with comfortable seating areas and hammocks. A little far from anywhere, but the local bus to Palomino (about 8km away) runs every 15 mins right past the hotel gate and the gatekeeper will flag it down for you.

The pool and outside areas are all really nice, and the room was also comfortable and spotlessly clean on arrival and after cleaning each day. The staff were friendly and helpful on the whole.
The rate we were offered when we had to extend our stay felt very fair for the room and the hotel generally, whereas the rate on booking.com felt quite overpriced.

Palomino has a reputation for a relaxed place and lifestyle. This is not entirely true as most of the beachfront is built up with fenced off resorts. The quality of the food and cocktails is generally low to average at best. There are nice people, too, of course, but there is very few backpacking/hippie style going on.

This is a great town for beach vibes , good local restaurants and a bit of night life. There are lots of travelers but it isn't too touristy. Still an easy-going beach town. Go now before more tourists find it!
A float down the (shallow) river makes for a fun day and leave some time for some cervezas on the public beach at the end. If you take a motorbike to the trailhead, be prepared to hang on tight and ask for a helmet - health and safety doesn't seem to be a thing here!
Buses are easy to catch on the main road and tuk-tuks/motorbikes can be hired for getting around town, although nothing is too far to walk.
Looking forward to a return to Palomino!

Lovely beach, great for a walk and surfing during our visit in January. Not sure about other times of the year. Plenty of beach front properties offering food and drinks. The town streets are not tarmac, some muddy patches during our stay, no pavement beyond the first block, if you don't use a tuk tuk or motorbike on arrival to your hostel, you are carrying your bag, no wheelie suitcases!! No parking either, if you are driving, check where you can park. Probably a torch in some areas after dark, definitely along areas of the beach, would help and although we stayed away from main town would imagine it gets very lively after dark!
Sorry, but personally, there are too many dogs begging for food, most didn't look starving, think the restaurants may feed them, but I don't like dogs begging at the table. Seems throught South America, its a problem, but really noticed it here, especially with a dog rescue nearby.

Very good breakfast. For breakfast you get to choose between eggs, pancakes or a vegan option, all accompanied by fruit (I loved the Pancakes).

This place has a very nice vibe with a comfy shared living room and pets around. Breakfast was delicious and made according to your wishes. The room itself was fantastic: it had a nice view, it was clean and spacious, the bed was great. The people were super friendly and welcomed us with some fresh juice and an extensive explanation about what to do in Palomino. 10 out of 10!
Really big and clean and quiet room, brand new. The shower was amazing with glass on top so you could see the clouds. We also liked the pool a lot, it’s a great place for meeting other travelers. The location of Dreamer Palomino is the best: closer by the beach you can’t get. We also saw monkeys in the early morning at the hostel. The breakfast is also good
