We had a huge room with a balcony overlooking the rainforest which was awesome. Beds comfy and great showers!

We specifically chose this place for the nature and birds. We stayed in the el Abismo bungalow. The bungalow is spacious, has its own wifi network and offers great panoramic views.I even spotted a tucanet from the bathroom window.It is furnished with care.
The property is quite big, and has trails that lead you to unexpected hidden spots (e.g. a barbercue, or a small waterfall). A lot of effort has been put in landscaping with small ponds and water cascades, lots of flowers and plants. Some plants specifically attract humming birds.
The spot is a bit out of the city and not well known to taxi drivers, but no worries-the hotel has its own trusted driver and the drives to the city are very reasonably priced! Staff is very helpful (although not all speak english). The restaurant offers limited, but tasty choice of meals.
Highly recommend if you want to immerse yourself in nature!

Horrible. Zero stars. The main kitchen is INSIDE the house right NEXT to the guest rooms. The housekeepers who cook come in at 7 am on a Sunday morning singing screaming dragging furniture and blasting their music while they cook. Just imagine waking up to that massive amount of noise after you paid 120 usd per night for peace and quiet.
