Cali is super friendly and diverse in its design. Barrio San Antonio is beautiful and a must see. Also make sure that you visit Parque de Perros and the park of the cats on the river side. You will find good priced food, La Sirena is highly recommended for seafood, you can find it in the Jardin PLaza mall or , even better, at the Alameda market.

A lot of birds and iguans in the parks. Great Salsa Carneval at Christmas time. Eating out is very cheap, especially during lunch time. Local people were friendly and warned us about special places. The city was full of loud music.

Amazing city.
Amazing city. Vibrant, happy people around, great natural juices and fruits everywhere. I have the feeling there is not that much experience dealing with tourists as other Colombian cities that may be more popular, so you experience a natural very honest interaction with staff. The taxi drivers are honest and some times they even have candies at the end of the ride :D You have to book in advance tickets to access to some of the great salsa shows the city offer. The city is clean and organized... definitely the Cop16 had a positive impact on it. Very much recommended.

Calí is a tropical city. It is alive with culture, music and beautiful nature nearby. There is a vibrant mix of African, Indigenous and Latin cultures. There is a great food scene and of course excellent coffee.

Cali is not as touristic as Medellin and Cartagena. But I like the laid back atmosphere especially in Cali. My favorite place is Granada and El Penon. But San Antonio is nice to the boulevard and the salsa dancing bring a special charm to the city.

Despite all the negative you tend to hear, I never felt unsafe, the food is all amazing, the people are friendly and the over all atmosphere is relaxing, the driving is next level insane, but once you get used to eat you notice you don't actually see many accidents compared to home. I will definitely return.
Be smart and you will be safe, where in the world does this not apply.

Our stay at Magic Garden House was the best accommodation experience we had so far in Colombia. The location is perfect to explore San Antonio and surrounding neighborhoods and the view from the terrace over the city is really nice. The staff and the owner are extremely friendly and helpful. Being there feels like joining a big travel family as making contact to the other visitors is very easy, because everyone sits on the same table for the very delicious breakfast. Rooms are spacious and have everything needed, as well as the kitchen.
The staff were amazing! They went above and beyond expectation and accommodated our every need. We were in Cali for the U20 World Athletics Championships as our son was competing. This was held at Estadio Olímpico Pascual Guerrero. The location of this hotel was perfect. The taxi driver the hotel staff put us on to, also went above and beyond. This taxi service became our main form of transportation in Cali. We recommended him to some other Australians we met while we were there, who were also very happy with his service.
Very enjoyable stay in this relaxed and pleasant hotel, wonderfully situated right on the Boulevard del Rio Cali with its lively atmosphere and numerous food and drink outlets.
The room was comfortable and the staff were always friendly helpful and efficient.
There is a lovely roof terrace bar with music for drinks in the evening.
An older colonial style hotel that nonetheless offers a pretty comfortable stay. Bed was comfortable. Plenty of hot water. WiFi signal was strong. Breakfast had nice options. Safe area and walking distance to the nicest sights in Cali. Great location. Hiked the Tres Cruces trail as the trailhead was very close to the hotel.
This hostal is one of my favourites in Colombia. I like the vibe, the people, facilities and coffee all day long! I was leaving Cali twice, returning after couple of days and always choosing The Pelican!
