At first I didn't really like the room when I walked in, but the staff offered to clean it despite late. They also book a car to help me from the problems in my train, and was never hesitate to use a lot of translate to communicate. The staff in here is splendid, even though can't speak English. I have had a great time here. I recommend this place for your Fenghuang gucheng stay. But if you don't speak Chinese, or can speak a little, don't worry because the staffs are very patience, but have a good translate app on your phone beforehand.

The rooms are clean, comfortable and spacious with balconies overlooking the river. The location is perfect, slightly away from the crowd yet very central. Most remarkable was the manager, who sat down with us for almost an hour over tea to explain in detail the different paths we could walk, what to see and where to eat. All his recommendations were on point. Great value for money with a very hospitable host.

Fenghuang is really nice.
Fenghuang is really nice. We've traveled a lot around China and people have been very friendly. One aspect of Fenghuang that we like was that it doesn't seem to get many western tourists nor has it changed to accommodate them --- for the better. The tourist maps tend to be in Chinese (only) which works but travelers should try to have some level of awareness of what to see and do --- that said, it's really nice just wandering the streets and alley ways without much of a plan.

The old buildings, historic gates and Ming Era pagoda are...
The old buildings, historic gates and Ming Era pagoda are set next to verdant, forested hills. We enjoyed the old homes and collections of antiques as well as exploring the narrow alleys. The river is lined with restaurants and night clubs, many with live music. Nearby Fenghuang are several other significant historic towns and sites.

Great stay at this family-owned establishment with the added bonus of a tea ceremony and a really great host. The hostelry was sited away from the noisy bars in Fenghuang, but still only less than 10 minutes away from the action. I was upgraded and looked after by the host and his family - amazing food and a really relaxed and special stay. Try the kiwi fruit they offer. It's the tastiest I've ever had
Nice room, with balcony overlooking the river and one of the main bridges. Great location walking-distance from all tourist places and some local spots.
The hotel host gave a couple of great non-touristy recommendations for restaurants and shopping
Location is good as it's within walking distance from the bus station and is near to the river and main attractions. Veronica is very helpful to guide us to her hotel by showing us various photos. Veronica speaks good English to communicate.
The hotel is just outside the old walls, the room is spacious, clean and the view stunning. The staff doesn’t speak English but he has been very kind and helpful using the translator. He helped me to find good restaurant and place to visit.
The owner was helpful to help us Cary the luggage’s because there is no elevator's . and meet us at the bus station at night to find the hotel .
