The village was quiet. The house was easy to get to. It was right next to a system of trails that were fun to hike each day. The carry-away breakfast basket was good. The air conditioners/heaters work very well. Check-in and out are easy and efficient. Staff is helpful if you need anything. Nice courtyard and cute little lawn area. Bedrooms were cozy and the internet worked well.

Located at the foot of the Cashikou Great Wall, CMYK Stoneyards by the Great Wall was converted from a historic building along with a modern achitecture.

Service and location were excellent. If you want to experience quite China country living with great access to the Wall this place is a wonderful and unique experience.

Only a 15-minute walk from Yanqi Lake, Yanqi Hotel, Managed by Kempinski is located on Yanqi Island. Surrounded by Yanshan Mountain, it offers sumptuous accommodations with free WiFi.

Lily and her family were the most wonderful hosts. She continuously went out of her way to make sure my stay was comfortable and easy: to ensure my visit to the wall was easy, she bought me a ticket and offered the best advice on how to get there and what to do and how to get back, she even went out of her way to go and collect the tickets for me which I though was above and beyond. She did my laundry, which I was happy to do myself, but she insisted. She cooked me a delicious dinner with very generous portion sizes. Breakfast was also fresh and delicious. Lily takes pride in her guesthouse, the room was modern and beautifully decorated with modern fixtures and immaculate bedroom and bathroom. The rooftop is a beautiful added extra for a cold beer after the long walk up the wall. She helped to arrange a taxi when I checked out which saved me the effort of navigating the journey back to the city. I left with a wonderful bookmark souvenir which she made herself (my name written in Chinese stamped with a picture of The Great Wall and the date). Lily is very kind and a wonderful host. I fully recommend that you stay. It was relaxing, enjoyable and exceeded expectation.

First of all, the owner is really helpful and friendly. The location is great, just a few minutes to the Mutianyu Great Wall main entrance. The room is good with mountain views. The food at the guesthouse is tasty 😋 The owner helped us book the ticket and drop-off at the main entrance. After we came back from the great Great Wall, the owner also pick up us at the main entrance back to homestay. They are very kind, allowed us to use their kitchen facilities (we cooked thai food), and we had so much fun conversations with the owner in the kitchen. I saw many cooking techniques from her, really skillful 👍👍 She cooked Gong pao chicken, fried rice and stir-fried tomatoes with eggs for our dinner. I really love it, it was a tasty local food. And the food is more yummy when we can connect to local people and feel all local senses. The next morning, she cooked dumpling with eggs and vegetables for us....yessss it was yummy 😋. Upon checkout, she walked to the bus stop with us and waited until the bus arrived, I really appreciated it. Pity, this time I stay here only one night. I definitely come back to this place as I have a plan to visit Jian Kou great wall. And of course, I will stay at this Homestay again. Thank you so much for such an amazing hospitality.
