A beautiful, remote place to switch off and enjoy a perfect beach holiday or to relax after discovering the unique places in the surrounding area. The owner created a special little paradise with 10 domes, all of which with their own terrace to the beach with amazing view. The domes are equipped with everything needed for a shorter or a longer stay, in case you don't want to cook, the restaurants in the village are also in walking distance through the beach or a drive of 5 min. The host's commitment, her sense of humor and positive energy make you feel really special and her dedication is hidden in every detail of the place. We will always remember the view to the beach, the sound of the waves, the sunsets, the peace, the stars and all the birds and hope to be back on one day.
In case you want to make boat trips to the 3 islands at Punta de Choros or whale watching from Caleta Chañaral, here you are directly on the spot, not an hour and a half away as in crowded La Serena.
Offering scenic views of the city, Refugio del Archipielago is set in Punta de Choros, 800 metres from Punta Choros Beach private parking is available on site at this recently renovated property.
Set 300 metres from Punta Choros Beach, Cabanas Las Hualas offers accommodation with a patio, as well as a garden.

Excellent location in Punta de Choros, close to the beach and with the privacy and tranquility of an entire cabaña. The host Jackeline made the stay memorable and helped as needed, even with a last-minute reservation. Very quiet and with all the necessary facilities for a short or long stay.
The town of Punta de Choros was not very nice. We went there to go on a tour of the local Humboldt penguin reserve. The town has about two or three restaurants and a few empanada stands. There's a small mini-market for food items. The beaches are nice, but they have no services, including no toilets or changing areas. Since the bird flu killed most of the penguins in 2022, I would not recommend visiting Punta de Choros. There are much nicer places to visit in Chile.
