A Perfect Stay at Solar Madariaga Hotel – Warm Hospitality and Charm I recently stayed at Solar Madariaga Hotel in Vicuña, Chile, and it was truly a fantastic experience. This place is an absolute gem, combining excellent service, delicious food, and a rich sense of history and character. Incredible Staff The staff at Solar Madariaga are the heart and soul of the hotel. They went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect. Whether it was the front desk team, the restaurant staff, or the housekeeping, everyone greeted us with a genuine smile and were incredibly attentive to our needs. Delicious Meals at the Attached Restaurant The restaurant at Solar Madariaga is hands down the best place to eat in Vicuña! Every meal we had was a treat and I looked forward the the inclusive breakfast every morning. The quality of food, combined with the cozy, welcoming atmosphere of the restaurant, made it a highlight of our stay. The bar is also renowned for making excellent cocktails. A Hub for Tourism & Relaxation One of the best things about Solar Madariaga is how it’s integrated into the local tourism ecosystem. The hotel made it so easy to plan and book activities during our stay, from relaxing massages to guided tours around the region. They connected us with trusted local providers and ensured everything was well-organized, so we didn’t have to worry about a thing. It was such a convenient and stress-free way to explore Vicuña and the surrounding area. A Beautiful, Historic Building The hotel itself is housed in a beautiful old building that is full of character and history and has remained under ownership of the same family, and it was great to learn about it's history from the owner.

Very good location. Close to the center of town, but still quiet. We had the private room with bathroom, and it was a comfortable big room with a nice terrace outside with a small table and chairs. A nice garden, and a terrace to watch the night sky from. Host was really nice and helpful, though we didn’t get full benefit of that because of our lack of Spanish skills. They did our laundry for a good price.

The room and bathroom are designed very beautifully - with an artistic touch! Everything was conmfortable. Just a 5 minute drive from Vicuña, which has restaurants, shops etc. the garden is lovely and so are the dogs and cat! The host was very helpful with suggestions of places to visit and eat. Good view from the place of the mountains around.

Super atmosphere and host. ITs a very unique experience!

I really enjoyed the great location that the Hostel is, the staff (Javier) he was amazing and very solicitous and the room was great too. Everything that we need to do was pretty close, so we were very comfy with that.
