We loved the lodge-like atmosphere and great water view from our room, which was very comfortable with a spacious bathroom. Plenty of parking. Communal breakfast was ample and a fun way to meet fellow travelers who provided recommendations on Chiloe sightseeing and interesting insight into life in Chile. Good dinner recommendation.

The accommodations were a little out of town, which I liked. There was a beautiful view of the bay. Beds were comfortable, and breakfast was good.

Amazing dome, very clean and comfortable with a beautiful view. The owner couldn't have been friendlier and easy going, flexible with the checkin and checkout times. He had started the fire in the wood burner for us, which was amazing on a chilly and rainy evening, and definitely enough to keep the place warm. The little kitchen had enough of everything for a simple meal. Good location close to downtown Ancud and just off the main road if you are like us coming from the ferry. We only wish we could have stayed longer than one night. One of the most memorable stays in our two weeks in Chile, and we had stayed in The Singular and the Ritz-Carlton in Santiago and Nayara Atacama on the same trip, but this place had a soul.

Better weather, but can't do anything about that, would have helped with the views. The two Spanish forts are brilliant; we had them to ourselves. The views were amazing and if we had had time we could have spent longer on the little beaches although if was not the season for sun bathing. A frew things to do in town, but we loved the hotel and people.
The nicest hosts you will ever meet. Señora Tita and Señor Pedro are very enthusiastic about the area and provide a great experience for their guests. They were eager to give us recommendations about tours, restaurants and just general knowledge about Chiloé. The hostel itself is clean and comfortable, with big rooms and multiple bathrooms. It is located less than a minute away from the municipal bus terminal, where all the long distance buses to and from the island go.
Truthfully, I didn't much like Ancud - and the hotel was like all the rest of it: kind of uninspiring. The room was small and cramped. The shower head was starting to separate from the hose, so half the water spayed everywhere but through the shower head. The breakfast was decent - nothing special but OK.
Great location for someone who is travelling around and wants to visit several places at Chiloe island and who prefer the country side over city centers. Easy access from a main road. Bonus is that is is next to the beach so can also imagine that it is a good place to stay a few days.
Large room, comfortable bed and the best shower we have had in 3 weeks in Chile. Ample off-street parking and walking distance of the centre of Ancud. Large breakfast.
