Lovely breakfast and a very nice dinner on our arrival night. The staff were super friendly and very helpful explaining everything along the way. For us it was a stopover night, I wish we’d spent a few nights there.
We also liked the skincare products supplied in the room and all the decorative fresh flowers in our arrival day.

Fantastic stay at Moana Sands villas. Beachfront studio with outdoor area and deck chairs right in front of the beach. Lovely area with good swimming, the best beach around and a pool. The staff were so friendly and helpful. The room was clean and a bonus of continental breakfast and fresh fruit our first day. Would definitely be back :) Meitaki

Raratonga is like going back to the 70's. Very laid back and and at a slower pace. The PEOPLE were exceptionally friendly and informative. They are very proud of their ISLAND and their Heritage and History. They are making every effort to care for their environment and the reef that surrounds the island. The food and New Zealand wines were beautiful, at New Zealand prices, in most of the restaurants. A lot of BNB'S are taking over along the beach, which makes it difficult for workers to find accommodation (as is happening everywhere) It is very peaceful and restful and when the sun is out SENSATIONAL

We loved Rarotonga for many reasons.
We loved Rarotonga for many reasons. We had an excellent experience. The place, the climate, the pace of life, our hostess and accomodation. We dined out every night, we ate a lot at the Muri markets, the local pub, restaurants around the island etc. We enjoyed exploring the island and learning more about the culture. We loved that it was safe to walk , even at night after the night markets. Another plus is that Rarotonga uses NZ currency and English is spoken as well as the native language.

There are a lot of places to visit around the island, food is expensive as they are imported items. Travelling is quite easy as there are not many vehicles on the road. Activites that can be done is swimming at different places on the island. Inland tours and ocean tours and visiting the many old historical places around the island. you have to be careful as there are stray dogs roaming around and they do chase after bikes.

The warmth of the winter weather, the friendliness of the local people, plenty to see and do if desired or just to chill. Good food easily available.
We will go back to Rarotonga and The Cook Islands.
In the end we chose to hire a convertible and we both enjoyed that experience. We particularly enjoyed Margaritas and Maranui Gardens, both had excellent food at reasonable prices. We also found great food at the National Museum (great coffee and homemade cheesecake)

It is a beautiful place, with a Lagoon, water sports, especially swimming with turtles, kayaking and the Koro boat cruise was excellent.
I attended the evening party in Edgewater, where locals showcased their culture. It was worth seeing.
Fruits, especially Paw paw and Coconut, are very tasty and I wish I could get the same here in NZ.
Locals are very helpful and have a smile always. Didn't feel I am away from home
We loved our stay at Muri Beach Club Hotel. It's in a perfect location with the gorgeous Muri Beach right in your backyard. The free access to snorkelling gear, kayaks and stand-up paddle boards were a bonus. The free hot breakfast (due to fruits not being in season) was great. All the staff were very accommodating and kind, I'd definitely recommend this place during your stay in Rarotonga 10/10.
A great glamping experience. The tent (it feels wrong to use that basic word when it's such a beautiful facility!) is well-equipped, very comfortable and clean. The gardens are beautiful, and the location is only a few minutes' walk from the main road if you need to catch a bus. The owners were exceptionally helpful vs other places I've stayed in the Cook Islands.
Amazing location. Better than expected. Having stayed at Muri beach on our last vacation, I now realise that this part of Rarotonga is more beautiful and peaceful. The staff at Lagoon Breeze are fantastic and nothing is a problem as all they want to do is make your holiday perfect. Thanks Vikki. This is our new fav place!
