The location is spectacular, the staff are exceptionally friendly and welcoming, know you by name. The adults only nature of this resort is also a big attraction.
Excellent facilities and includes access to watersports equipment to take full advantage of the beautiful lagoon location.
When you’ve finished with those, there is a fishbowl cocktail well worth trying out at the bar!

Moana Sands was great for a Rarotongan Holiday where you leave your "resort'. The facilities were generous, even the milk in the big fridge was a big carton. The cafe next door and Wigmores across the road were excellent. Our daughter was in the roadside room and the comings and goings at Wigmores did not bother her. We didn't self cater but would be good for those that do. Snorkelling out the front from mid tide was excellent and when it was windy we just went around the island. Having the pool to swim and lounge around in was great too. We loved the downstairs unit with direct access to the sand.
Comprising barbecue facilities and a shared lounge, Mirimiri Spa Homestay is a recently renovated accommodation in Ngatangiia situated close to Muri Beach.

Avarua is pretty small with a Mall and few shops, supermarket, pharmacy, hardware stores etc. lots of take away and restaurant and a bit of night life, quiet, little traffic, nice people. Prices for clothing and souvenirs are high, I did not buy anything... The Saturday market is quite big with produce, clothing, etc. In Rarotonga on Sunday everything is closed (you cannot buy alcohol) although you can get take away and there are minimarkets open 24 hours ! Also hotels restaurants are open. It is cheaper to eat out compare to buy food and cook in. Food is good, wine prices acceptable. Not a big selection of food thou depending on the ships who bring the food in. It is a small island you must remember.

We had a beautiful stay at nevaehs holiday home.
We had a beautiful stay at nevaehs holiday home. The house was perfect for us, Desmond was also a good host! Looked out for us and made sure our stay was perfect, very close to town and the perfect place for a big crowd. But we enjoyed our stay and thank Desmond for also letting us use the car throughout our entire stay. We will definitely come again.
