Good location near a snorkeling beach but is a fair distance from the main tourist areas. The villa was clean and the host provided us with a large bowl of local fruit on arrival, a beautiful flower arrangement and tea/coffee etc. The host was very kind in helping with car hire and making sure our stay was comfortable. Without us knowing, he arranged for someone to pick us up from the airport as part of the service which was fantastic. Kitchen was basic but adequate for our needs, nicely decorated villa with a lovely outdoor seating area amongst a tropical garden which we used alot when we weren't snorkeling. Would definitely stay again as a quite peaceful neighbourhood and lovely gardens around the villa.
Located directly on the beachfront, The Passage Villas is set on 1 acre of gardens and beach. It offers a swimming pool and free tropical breakfast on your first morning.

The privacy of the property was a huge plus. Having our towels changed every day exceeded our expectations.

Beautiful elegant luxury property. Every detail thought through. Spacious, comfortable and beautifully decorated. Great location right at Muri Lagoon, had a lot of fun paddle boarding. Fantastic pool and hot tub. Never crowded. Delicious breakfast daily, plentiful pastries, cereal, fruit, yogurt and juices. Great staff, led by super helpful owner Nick. All so helpful and kind. 5 plus plus plus Stars!

The host Sam was one of the most hospitable guys I've ever encountered while traveling. The location was perfect, the price was generous, and the room was comfortable and spacious. The place had a kitchen where you could cook or store food.

The place has older and newer units, I had one of the older outdated ones which was probably reflected in the rate I paid for it. But the unit was spacious, had the basics (including a kitchenette) and was comfortable enough. You're only a 30 minute walk to Avarua township, or catch the local bus right out front. It's 5-10 minute walk either direction to a local convenience store. I've stayed at other places in Raro, where the local roosters crowed at all hours, at not set time. Thankfully it was not the case here.
We had a great stay here. We had a car, which meant that we could make the most of the whole island of Rarotonga, which was great.
It was better to go about 5 minutes drive down the road to go snorkeling,
so we drove every day and if we hadn't had a vehicle it would have been a bit more restrictive.

Some lovely snorkeling, the turtle tour with Aqua Oz Turtle Man was a huge highlight for us. Saw a lot of Green Turtles and this was superb with the whole family.
Shame the reef seems to be damaged and the local hotels don't even stock reef safe suncream, we did find some in Muri but disappointing to see that locals are not promoting reef care. People are standing all over the reef.
Cook Islands should invest in providing more reef care information to tourists.
Also quite a lot of litter around, which is a shame as it is a beautiful island.
We stayed for 10 days with kids this was probably 3 days too long. As adults alone we would have found some extra activities like cycling around the whole island and the cross island hike.

across the road is a fun Umu and local entertainment night at Tumutoa, a local character "Ngame" guides you through prepping an umu teaches local dance, coconut husking and grating, the band members you will also meet throughout your stay especially if you go on a "Koka lagoon tour" in Muri - highly recommended.

I stayed at Te tua napa valley in arorangi inward's, it's a beautiful place loved arorangi from the road house to the restaurants and shops, I pretty much ate fruit outside my house, I also went to roadhouse for karaoke you can hire bikes down the road there so much to do just go for it
Wow - what an incredibly special house!
We felt so relaxed from the minute we stepped inside.
Has a beautiful beach straight across the road.
The house is so spacious & beds were super comfy.
Well appointed kitchen with everything you might need for large groups (there were only 2 of us staying there this time).
Estelle is such an incredible host - dropped us off fresh fruit & was available if we ever needed anything!
Was very sad when it was time to leave. Will 100% be staying here again on my next trip to Rarotonga!
