Excellent location if you are visiting Charlie Chaplin musee, although you really need to drive there as the walk would not be ideal. Public transport is excellent, with a bus stop just outside the hotel, taking you to Vevey and Montreux. Special shout out to the reception staff, he was very friendly and helpful, giving us some much local information and details of the free public transport
Hotellerie de Châtonneyre situated in Corseaux 1 km from Vevey offers en-suite rooms and a restaurant serving fine Mediterranean cuisine based on seasonal ingredients.

A lovely town beside the lake. Much quieter and more compact than Montreaux. Easy public transport use. Free for tourists.
Apart from the obvious, like Chaplin's World, take time out to visit the church of St Martin, near the train station. Rick Wakeman recorded the church organ there for the Yes album - Going For The One.
James Mason & Charlie Chaplin made Vevey their home. Say no more.

Only stayed one night and the area has so much more to offer. I would choose staying in Vevey over staying in Lausanne or Geneva, it has so much to offer, and is much more friendly than the big cities.
It is a quaint town in the most marvellous setting, with a fabulous old part of town.

The city has a very nice vibe, with beautiful architecture and nice walk way next to the lake. The swimming area was very clean and tidy, with a lot of place to rest. Since I was there during the weekend shops were closed, but they have great diverse offer.

I am biased as I grew up in the area and I was coming home for a visit. For me I can always stay a bit longer. I did find the city a bit more congested than the last time I came through in 2019 for “ la fête des vignerons” but it is still a beautiful city.
I did notice that many restaurants were replaced by Asian types of restaurants which is sad. Also the new trend to leave the grass uncut is not pretty😫 and the worst is the tagging I saw all over not necessarily in Vevey but all over Switzerland. Come on, I grew up in a nice and clean environment let’s keep it up. The marche, on the Saturday was very disappointing I must say, mostly clothes and stuff, not many local merchants selling their fresh vegetables, cheeses etc as they used to. The lake front was still beautiful and clean and very pleasant to stroll by, and I did notice a new fresco for Charlie Chaplin.

A lovely spot on Lake Geneva with beautiful views.
A lovely spot on Lake Geneva with beautiful views. (I personally think it's the most beautiful place on the whole lake.) It's no wonder that Charlie Chaplin chose to live in this area. When you stay you receive a Riviera Card which gives you free bus travel to places like nearby Montreux, which is also well worth a visit.

Sweet little town close to Montreux.
Sweet little town close to Montreux. Quiet over the weekend with a few interesting sights to visit. Nice lakeside with lots of restaurants and cafes (all closed on Sunday when we visited). Quite a few cute cafes were open in the town though.

Very good location, only 5 minutes walk from the train station and 2 minutes walk to the lake Geneva . Although the hotel is situated close to the train station the roads near the hotel are not very busy and you can not hear any traffic. My studio had the window overlooking La Veveyse River so in the evening I could hear the sound of the river which was really nice. The hotel was really nice , clean and very comfortable. I really liked Vevey as it was quieter than Montreux and had a beautiful riviera with the beautiful views of the mountains.
There is a hotel owned parking garage right in front of the hotel.
The room is clean and well managed.
And the staff is so nice and helpful!
The gentleman in reception introduced in details to us where we can visit in Vevey, and provide us with visitor bus tickets. (Actually it's not far away from Vevey center, walking takes about 15 minutes)
My regret is why I only booked one night stay here! Thank you!
The hotel was on top of a mountain and provided us with an upgrade to a room with a wonderful lake and mountain view. It was also conveniently close to a funicular that took us down to Vevey. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and they even offered to install a bidet shower in the WC. Additionally, the hotel gave us a free transportation pass
basic hotel, but perfect for a night after a long hike along the lake or when you just visit Vevey. there is even a small restaurant/bar in the base floor (have not tried that one). room was very small (you could hardly walk around the bed), but had all you needed. proximity to showers and toilets was absolutely ok and services were good.
Great view of Lake Geneva & the alps
good location
great service by all the hotel team :) esp Gwen who served us during breakfast & shared with us abt the history of the hotel and went extra mile to bring us to see the ball room ceiling , the painting in the bar etc…
