Good location in the center of everything, but your room looked out onto a beautiful lawn & trees. So even though you were in the center of town you felt like you were in the countryside.
The food was excellent!
Offering ski-to-door access, the family-run Berghotel Sellamatt is located above Alt Sankt Johann at the Sellamatt mountain station, at 4593 feet above sea level.

We went mid season after the summer and before the winter to celebrate a friends birthday but the village was very pleasant and I can imagine that in summer and winter it is just a wonderfully beautiful place. I would love to go back.
The location is terrific, close to Sellamat and Iltios, so access to skiing and walking trails on foot. Post bus every half hour and walking distance from hotel. Bus service free for the section that serves the ski area, hotel owner provides the necessary tickets. Terrific view from front rooms. Friendly and helpful owner with wonderful dry sense of humour. Rooms clean but small. Cross country track passes hotel.
The hotel is located in a very beautiful area, surrounded by the mountains and a green landscape that makes you think you're in a movie. The breakfast was full of options and really delicious. The bedroom was cozy, very spacious and also with nice views. There is also an entertainment room with a tennis table, a pool table and a cinema for the bad weather days or just for relaxing at night.
Good location and only 2 min drive from the slopes. There is also a cable car few meters away from the Hotel. A nice selection of recreation facilities (billiard, piano, chess, kids cinema etc). Lobby and play area nicely decorated. Friendly and service oriented staff but seemed all of them under stress
A wonderful location, very friendly staff. Sadly no restaurant on site, but there are a couple a short walk away in other hotels. We ate at the Aplenrose and it was very good.
