We loved the friendliness of the owners, available and very knowledgable about the different hiking paths around the hotel and in Creux de Van. We had dinner at the restaurant of the hotel and the fondue was one of the best I have had.
The hotel was very cozy, and the remote location make it pretty special.
An 18th century inn, Couvet’s Hotel de l'Aigle enjoys peaceful surroundings in the countryside. The restaurant uses regional products and serves traditional Swiss cuisine.

Travers is a small town but has everything you need as a traveler (food store, pharmacie, bakery etc...). In Travers and around a lot of activities can be done, for example hiking to Creux du Van, visit of alphast mines, horse riding etc...
To reach Travers is very easy by car and there is also a train station which seems to be properly served.
If you want to party, it's not really the place since there are not many options to do that. It's a quiet small town.
