Location was easy to find from train station. A bit of a distance so got quite wet in rain. Room was large and comfortable. Quite close to town centre and local restaurants.

Overnight stay and not a lot to see. Went to abbey to see library - so expensive to go in, and not really worth it. Library is beautiful but price covers it, museum and one other area and if you just want to see the library, it is a lot.
Not a lot of places to wander around and take in the scenery.

There are many interesting cities in Switzerland, in my opinion St Gallen is not one of them. We had a reason for going there, so we did, but it is not an attractive enough place for tourism, apart from the Abbey Library, really remarkable.
We liked the Van Gogh Café, and the café inside the Abbey precinct, but
everywhere else we ate, the food ranged from abysmal to not-more-than- acceptable, all at incredible prices.
We appreciated the vicinity to Lake Costanza

We like the visit of the old part of the town visiting Abbaye the St. Gall , the historical buildings. Visit to the textile musuem was interesting. We wish more restaurants were open on a Sunday night.

Clean, very comfortable hotel located right across from the train station and a short walk to the historic center of the city. Excellent breakfast. Very nice amenities in the room (coffee, tea, etc.) and in the bathroom (no little plastic bottles!). WIFI was great.
Although located at the outskirts of St. Gallen, the hotel is right next to a train station. The room was very nice: clean, spacious, nicely furnished and comfortable. The check-in process was fast and the staff was very friendly. The breakfast was also quite good.
Lovely stay. Exceptional value for money. Best night's sleep I've ever had in St. Gallen. Great staff - really friendly and helpful. Very highly recommended.
