We arrived by train. We took a taxi and it cost 45 SWF to get there. Once we figured out the buses, we took the buses for the rest of our stay and back to the train station with our luggage. It was so easy and we should have done it upon arrival.
The apartment was beautiful. It was hot there so we were glad there was an air conditioning unit. The apartment is on a hill so you have a gorgeous view of the lake from the balcony. The owners were very nice and accommodating. We arrived early for our reservation and they gave us a place to change into our swimsuits so we could get out on the lake. They have two free paddle boards and kayaks to use. We enjoyed our stay.
Within 10 minutes walk there is a nice free, public “beach”(no sand) . It’s more of a grassy area with lounge chairs, a restaurant /bar and an area to swim. It’s a rocky when getting in the water so bring water shoes. We spent a day there and it was so relaxing.

I really appreciated the attention to detail throughout the hotel. The room was immaculate and very comfortable, with a fully functioning air conditioning system that made the stay even more pleasant. The breakfast was another highlight, with a dedicated and friendly staff who made sure everything was perfect. The overall charm of the hotel and the excellent service provided by the staff truly made my stay exceptional. We are definitely coming back!

If you start a walk at the lake you would have climbed about160 when you get to the old town. It is like climbing the "stairway to heaven".
The old town at the top if full of charming alleys with old traditional houses of interesting designs and full of colors.
After enjoying this town we recommend to walk to Ascona and don't worry, that part is down the hill

The B&B is positioned on the hillside next to the lake so the views from the front are wonderful.
Breakfast is served at the hotel opposite which has a wonderful terrace overlooking the lake.
we had free access to the hotel's canoe and kayaks which was a real treat.
There is a regular bus service from outside the hotel in both directions and you get a free pass from reception which we made good use of as it saved us driving/ parking.
Far and yet close, this place overlooks the beautiful lake and provides great view of the island of Brissago. The street that separates the main hotel (Art Hotel) and the apartments, has a direct bus connection to Ascona and Locarno. It was very quiet and picturesque place to walk or simply to sit at the balcony and soak in the view. Additionally the hotel Kayak and Canoes are free for hotel guests, perfect for summer days.
The hotel is in a great position on the waterfront overlooking Brissago Island. Our room had a balcony to enjoy the view. The food in the restaurant is fantastic and especially a beautiful breakfast. The staff were very friendly. Nice to be out of town but with easy access by bus to Locarno.
We would highly recommend staying at the Art Hotel and plan to go back again.
The stuffy were very helpful and we got an updated room, which had an amazing view.
Also the hotel located in a calm area so you could relax. For the parking, I would recommend to reserve a parking if you go by a car.
