We only stayed overnight and didn't do any visits, because we were on our way home from holidays in Italy. So we can't really comment on Porrentruy, we only drove through it, but it looked like a nice small town.

Porrentruy is a small history city in a far-flung corner of...
Porrentruy is a small history city in a far-flung corner of Switzerland which has put a lot of resources in renovation and upgrading over the last 20 years. And they are still at it. Just recently, the main street was repaved with cobblestones. There are a castle, loads of beautiful historic buildings in the centre and extravagant turn-of-the century villas in the closer outskirts of town.
Porrentruy has become a very loveable small town in Switzerland. with an unusual number of bars and restaurants, some of which are surprisingly lively for such a small town.
Porrentruy makes for a great base to explore the Jura region!

We chose this apartment because of the location and the balcony. The facilities were very good and the kitchen and bathroom were well equipped. We had nice view of the castle, which is beautifully lit up at night.
The friendly owner who we met in person, was very informative in relation to information about the area. Porrentruy is a lovely place to visit, especially the old part.
Very friendly, good atmosphere, superb location in the beautiful old town. Very good food but no breakfast at the hotel. Excellent breakfast at nearby boulangerie.
