Our double room offered plenty of space, includng adequate storage space and a working area.
The kitchen is quite pleasant and usable once you've gotten used to quirks such as a fuse that needs to be reset rather often.
Overall, I was able to conveniently attend a conference in nearby Rapperswil with much lower lodging costs than the other attendees.

The hotel is in an excellent location, close to the Monastery and shops and restaurants. It is also an easy walk to the train station. The staff was very helpful, whether it was a warm drink in the afternoon or helping us to get laundry done. We were very happy with our stay.

The breakfast was standard Swiss fare but it was good. The breakfast service staff was very attentive. The breakfast room had a view of the monastery. The room was clean. Not the most modern in furniture but very interesting artwork hanging the room and all around the hotel. The staff are nice and helpful in providing information when asked.
The location is perfect because you can reach the main cities and other attractions from the train/bus station, which is 1 minute walk from the hotel. Also the boat stop is very close, from there you can take a boat ride and visit the other side of the lake, islands, etc.
The room was very clean and comfortable, the view from the windows is beautiful, you can see the mountain and Etzel.
The staff is very friendly, the communication was clear and frequently.
