It was a amazing place, the view the quiet the host was just perfect for what we had in mind. The drive up was breathtaking and if I had known I would have stayed longer. I thought the idea of no TV would bother me but no just having the peace and quiet was enough! Breakfast was great loved the local cheese and she had a great selection of breads ,jams etc.

I mostly stayed in my room so I can't speak much about the city. Everyone I met was friendly and helpful despite my lack of Italian fluency. Reminds me of many small cities around the world, the places where the residents are personal. One of the greater joys of travel.

Beautiful top-floor apartment with exposed wooden beams, very comfortable beds, large dining room/living room, and large kitchen with basic appliances. The location atop Mendrisio is nice, since you have direct access to various trails, like for Monte San Generoso, and you can walk into the old town of Mendrisio in about 12mins, going downhill - going back is all uphill and may take 15 to 20mins.
