It was great to arrive and be greeted with a smile - it really makes a huge difference to everyone’s day. The staff here are top class and extremely helpful. The room was excellent and the view over the lake from the balcony was as expected. The breakfast provided fresh local produce including cheese, croissants and pastries. Coffee here is varied and great. In addition to all this the property supplied us with a Ticino card which we used on a very rainy day to visit Lugano which is a bonus. We highly recommend this property as its location is on a bus route and only a few minutes from the train station and boat demarcation point - this is a 5🌟 venue. Thankyou for a pleasureable experience - pity about the weather. 🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳

The location is excellent for getting around the area being right beside the train station / bus stops. Nice views of the lake from the bedroom (4th floor)... probably even better from the 5th or 6th. The hotel was renovated two years ago so everything is new and clean. Bathrooms are "compact" but well designed and fitted.

We were in Locarno for 1.5 days.
We were in Locarno for 1.5 days. There were many places of interest to visit and we had to rush a bit. Perhaps another 48 hours would have made the visit even more relaxing.
The lake on a sunny day is fantastic as is the trip to Cimetta on the cable car, and the chair lift.
There is a vast number restaurants with a wide range of menus
It is an easy city to get around. Hotels provide free public transport passes for the duration of your stay.
It is also next door to Ascona, which offers a different holiday experience, similar to small Italian lake side villages. Here too there is a wide choice of Restaurants particularly those overlooking the lake.
Its a short bus ride from Locarno to Ascona.
Don't be just focused on Locarno.

Very enjoyable. Visconteo Castle was interesting and the funicular to Madonna del Sasso was fun. Good pizza at the Ristorante Funicolare. Be sure to take the tram further up to Cardada. The views were well worth the trip!

A small, yet beautiful city on the Swiss part of Lago Maggiore which, for those who are on a circuit, is a must-come-to in order to visit Sacro Monte Madonna del Sasso. A jewel with an amazing view over the city and the lake, accessible both by foot or by the funicular (lovely).

Just loved the light, spacious 50 m2 apartment (an upgrade at no extra costs) with a great 180 degree view on both the lake 'Lago Maggiore' as well as as the mountains. There was an overall very pleasant vibe in the hotel and staff was super friendly. Breakfast was good too and the breakfast room (=restaurant) had a great ambiance thanks to the glass ceiling and half-circle shape. Location was pretty unbeatable, like an island in the center of Locarno.
Very friendly staff, excellent breakfast. The hotel is located in a nice and charming building.
Location is nearly perfect, right next to the trainstation and lake
The hotel also gave us a Ticino Ticket which allows free travel on all buses and trains in Ticino : we used it a lot and makes travelling in the region very easy
Lovely room, got an upgrade so had a balcony overlooking the Lake Maggiore. A short walk to the station was a bonus in the heat. Nice breakfast. The hotel was handy for the main square with a huge choice of bars and restaurants.
Great central location, nice breakfast area on a shaded terrace, very helpful and friendly staff. The hotel owner even bought gluten-free bread for me, which was so kind.
