Built in the 1890s, this historic hotel was one of the first hotels in Lauterbrunnen. The family-run Hotel Staubbach offers panoramic views of the Staubbach Falls and Lauterbrunnen Valley.

Our stay was perfect! The room we were staying at had a balcony facing the entrance to the hotel, with the windows closed, we could not hear any noise from outside. The breakfast was very good, quite an extensive spread. Some plus points, there are some guests lounge, with lots of teas and coffees, which we could also take up to our room. Also, a fully equipped “picnic room”, where we can have our take out food, and even a microwave oven to heat up the food. The picnic room is very cosy, and looks so pretty too! There was no TV in the room, but there’s one in one of the guests lounge.
The Silberhorn Hotel in Lauterbrunnen is located off the main street, only 492 feet from the train station, providing access to the skiing and hiking areas. Free parking and free Wi-Fi is available.

it’s right in the center of Lauterbrunnen, altough, there’s just a few things to do in the city, specially when it’s snowing a lot. the rooms are cozy but old and small. I saw that they’re refurbishing so I think it might be better in a few months. I stayed for 1 week with my family but it was too much. 2 nights are enough.

Beautiful location. Loved the patio. Having a washer /dryer in unit was super helpful on a long trip
I had a wonderful experience staying at this apartment!
I had a wonderful experience staying at this apartment! The owner was incredibly helpful and accommodating, even allowing us an early check-in without any hassle. They greeted us warmly at the gate and made the process smooth and pleasant.
The apartment itself is fantastic—cozy, well-maintained, and equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay, including a fully functional kitchen, a bathroom with warm water, and a toilet room. The wooden construction adds a warm and rustic charm, and the bed was exceptionally comfortable, ensuring a great night's sleep. Despite the harsh winter, the apartment was perfectly warm and cozy.
This space is ideal for couples but can also accommodate a small family with a child, as there are three beds in the bedroom. The location is very convenient, just a 5-minute walk from Lauterbrunnen train station. However, do note that the walk includes a steep uphill stretch of 200–300 meters, though you can also drive directly to the address.
The apartment's location is excellent for exploring the Lauterbrunnen Valley. From Lauterbrunnen station, you have access to trains heading to Wengen, Kleine Scheidegg, and beyond. If you're planning to visit Jungfraujoch, the "Top of Europe," you can take the yellow-green train from Lauterbrunnen (tickets can be purchased via the SBB app). It's worth booking your tickets in advance for Jungfraujoch. For ski lovers, Kleine Scheidegg is a must-visit destination.
Additionally, the nearby attractions are incredible. You can explore the Lauterbrunnen Valley or take a cable car to Mürren from Stechelberg LSMS. This apartment is a perfect base for enjoying the scenic beauty and activities in the region.
I highly recommend this apartment to anyone looking for a comfortable and memorable stay in Lauterbrunnen!

Lauterbrunner It's like a valley surrounding with mountains/hills and waterfalls.
Other beautiful places can be easily accessed (by train/gondola) such as Murren, Gimmewald, Schilthorn, Birg, Wengen, Kleinne Scheidegg,Jungfraujoch, Interlaken, Grindelwald Terminal etc
Many coffee shops, restaurants located with outdoor adorable nature sceneries.
There is a Tourist Centre office can provide valuable information (such as weather forecast from live camera, etc) and we can buy cable car tickets (others) for the interest destination (i.e Jungfraujoch).

Its a beautiful place.
Its a beautiful place. Now a days is very touristic and the instagram has done a huge damage, having lots of people taking the "instagram selfie" in the same spot. Thats contributes to lose the nature quiet little village: Also now theres a touristic tax, wich is horrible, plus the very expensive Switzerland. Its beautiful, but sadly with a very hi tourist crowd, moving all around.

Beautiful scenery, plenty to do to fill 2-3 days if the weather is on your side. On our main day we walked to staubbach falls then on to trummelbach falls, then to the cable car to murren, then up to schilthorn, train from murren and cablecar back to Lauterbrunnen. Everything is expensive, of course.

Apart from my lousy hotel, the next worst thing about Lauterbrunnen is the food.
Way Overpriced garbage.
We had better dining and cheaper when sourcing food supplies from COOP
Stay in Grindelwald, Lauterbrunnen has lost me for good.

Thank you 💐💐
rooms were really cozy with big windows and a great view. the hotel is in the center of lauterbrunnen with a café on the ground floor (which is also where you check-in). great budget option compared to other accommodations in the area. definitely worth it if you don't mind sharing a kitchen and bathroom with other people. the kitchen has everything you need and there's a grocery store 2 mins away from the hotel.
We loved our stay here, the staff were amazing and helped us out a lot with places to visit and what train schedule to take. The views were beautiful from our window and we had so much fun at the bar and met some really cool people. If we ever come back to Switzerland we will definitely be staying here again. 😃
We believe we had the best room looking up to Lauterbrunnen’s waterfall, the bell tower and over the village. Parking outside hotel was convenient, breakfast was nice and tea/coffee was available which was lovely touch. Reception and breakfast staff were very helpful and pleasing. Thank you
