Our room had a fabulous view and a small balcony with a great view as well. Breakfast was great. We also loved sitting on the hotel sundeck to enjoy the sunny day and sunset. Breakfast was lovely. Location was terrific - we enjoyed a walk on the promenade and my husband also borrowed a bike.

The balcony was a highlight. The building has nice character but is very tired. Beds were so comfortable, but they were really let down by the terrible, lumpy, pillows. Hotel is very clean and the elevators were surprisingly fast.

What I liked the most - there are many small (or not small) extra things that you don't expect, but they improve your experience - for example, there are 2 sinks in the bathroom, they put extra towels (we had 7 for a couple, etc.)

The location of the hotel was quite favorable. However, we had booked a room with a lake view, and it unfortunately opened to the main road instead. While this is understandable, I would have appreciated a room with a window. On a positive note, the staff were very nice and attentive.

The management and staff treated us beautifully. We were given passes for local transport which made this hotel way up in Vieux Ville easily accessible since bus 206 stops right across the street. That same pass gave us discounts on Chillon Castle and the lake ferry. We had a lovely stay with them.

Hotel is as advertised, historic and outside of Montreux proper. It is easily accessed from train stop they specify, but also an uphill climb and challenging when dragging luggage. Despite this, the location is beautiful; we had an amazing view of the lake from our very comfortable balcony. Room was very clean and spacious. We regretted that we were there for only one night. Beds very comfortable and bedding crisp! Staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast generous and dinner was excellent. Highly recommend.
