The hotel is in an excellent location, close to the Monastery and shops and restaurants. It is also an easy walk to the train station. The staff was very helpful, whether it was a warm drink in the afternoon or helping us to get laundry done. We were very happy with our stay.

The breakfast was standard Swiss fare but it was good. The breakfast service staff was very attentive. The breakfast room had a view of the monastery. The room was clean. Not the most modern in furniture but very interesting artwork hanging the room and all around the hotel. The staff are nice and helpful in providing information when asked.

Very nice modern style hotel. Used public transportation, there was a bus stop nearby but those busses were not running regularly because of the Christmas market. The hotel was a 10 minute slightly uphill walk away. Requested a corner room with view of the Monastery (see below). Room was spacious with very comfortable bed & bath. Plenty of outlets for charging of electronics. Did not choose breakfast option. Enjoyed our visit in Einsiedeln and the Christmas market as well as restaurants and shops. A special treat was visiting the Milchmanufaktur for a very nice and informative cheese factory tour (available Saturdays only).

I love Einsiedeln, because it is such a lovely village with the
Mountains and SIHLSEE. It has beautiful little shops, good
restaurants and coffee places with their own roastery.
The only problem is with Taxi cars: none available at the
centralstation,when one arrives by train.
How come??
My favourite place was the MONASTERY, walking around
through KLOSTERWALD and the horses there.Another nice
walk to SIHLSEE.
There is MIGROS with affordable food to buy and their restaurant, which serves good meals.
Good connections by train and bus.
And the annual Christmas market infront of the monastery is
just wonderful.

The Abbey had a service on when we visited so didn't go in, but it is still worth a visit even for the outside, especially in the evening when it is lit up. They have open air theatre shows often which should be planned for in advance if this is your thing. It is a very friendly town, and everyone we spoke to was polite and helpful. Though there are plenty of restaurants but we didn't use any of them as we chose to buy local food and drink from the supermarket to enjoy on the hotel roof terrace :)
The town is very picturesque, but be aware that some of the streets are quite steep as it is situated on a hillside.

The rooftop bar area was the best part of this hotel! The view was beautiful. The room was the cleanest I’ve stayed in so far in Switzerland! They also offer electric bikes for hotel guests to use free of charge which was a bonus. And there is free parking. The staff was helpful and friendly. Thank you!
Very centrally located in the heart of Einsiedeln, right opposite the impressive monastery, very spacious room, superfriendly and welcoming staff. Have been there before and will surely book again. Great value for money, Great Hotel
