I enjoyed walking in the botanical garden in the evening, not so crowded after 18:00 (when the tourists leave the island). Eating dinner at the hotel with the view on the lake was the best decision. The food is very fine, delicious and well presented.

The almost semi tropical vegetation is a delight to the eyes with lush Meditaranean types of trees such as cypress,magnolia,olive and even palms.The Brissago islands are a must for any visitor who appreciates exotic plants
Brissago is a beautiful spot on the lake although the road from Locarno is quite busy.
There are plenty of activities to do such as taking a boat on the lake ,hiking and biking in the mountains and valleys or just visiting nearby towns on the lake

Very friendly and helpful Gian, showed me everything in the appartement, coffee maker didn't work, his wife didn't come to see but, I found out myself. Gian sent me a map of Brissago, gave me a card for the ferry boat. The apartment was very cozy , the mattress comfortable, heating was working, nice view, good parking.
Lovely family run and owned boutique hotel, beautiful location in a small charming town with lots of nature, hiking, swimming nearby. Breakfast is entirely vegan and the homemade cakes were great!
