The location was great, and the staff friendly. Signing in was easy, and other than the bizarre smell in the bathroom, the room was clean. Loved the coffee machine in the lobby, it was nice to be able to grab a hot chocolate coming in from the cold and rain. :)

I'm a visitor to Victoria but not really because I was born and grew up in Victoria. I love Victoria and enjoy every moment I spend there. I've thought many times of moving back home just because I love it there so much.
Visited the Royal BC Museum to see the Stonehenge exhibit. Had a great meal at the Irish Times. Drove around Oak Bay, UVic,. The views of the sea and even across the straits to the USA are spectacular.

Must do’s!
Must do’s! Butchart Gardens, wine tasting, high tea at the Empress, and food tour. Each of these events exceeded our expectations. Because we enjoyed high tea at the Empress so much, we also had high tea at Butchart Gardens as well and were glad we did. Two completely different experiences and both just wonderful! We also went to the castle, which was fun to tour. Additionally, we took the self-tour of the parliament which was amazing to see. The Irish Times pub is a MUST to eat at. Such a beautiful building with really, really good food. We had the Irish Stew and the Shepard’s Pie. YUM!!

This is the most beautiful small city I have ever visited.
This is the most beautiful small city I have ever visited. It is difficult to describe the beauty of the city: the cleanliness; the beautiful and bountiful flowers; the buildings lit up by white lights at night; the Inner Harbour area with its water taxis and seaplanes; the Beaufort Gardens; the incredible scenery; French Beach; the numerous international dining experiences. Everywhere is within walking distance in the central area, but the are also horse-drawn carriages or bicycle taxis if you're too tired. Parliament House and the Empress Hotel are stunning. The Governor's gardens are beautiful and well worth a visit. Having deer and peacocks walking in the suburbs is amazing.

Victoria is a wonderful city, with a real small-town feel.
Victoria is a wonderful city, with a real small-town feel. The architecture is gorgeous and steeped in history, and the views across the harbour at sunset were beautiful. A visit to the oldest Chinatown in Canada and the Butchart Gardens is a must.
I wish I could've stayed longer - and I would move there in a heartbeat!

Loved staying on the harbour, we were able to walk everywhere. We came for the Marathon and were able to walk to the start line. Perfect position. Best place to eat was Finns. China Town was very fun and full of little gems, hidden roads and amazing little shops. Make sure to go into Munro's book store! Also make time for a whale watching tour, we saw Orcas and Humpback.

We love Victoria - it's our home away from home - such a lovely city - probably more "British" than many parts of England these days. There are fabulous restaurants (Ithaka Greek Restaurant is a favourite, along with the Blue Crab Seafood House), and lots of shopping options, either in some fantastic malls, or outside downtown. Walking on Dallas Road, and around James Bay is one of our favourite activities. Plus, the people of Victoria are extremely friendly and helpful.

The location of the hotel is great. Very central and can walk to downtown Victoria easily. The hotel is an older building, but the room was spacious and I liked that breakfast was included. Underground parking was secure and I did not have to pay an arm and a leg for parking fee. We left the car at the hotel after checking in and walked into downtown Victoria.
Really nice hostel in downtown Victoria. The staff is great, knowledgeable and also very polite. There is a bar on site and they offer a vegan meal for dinner, which is great for socialising with the other guests. There is even space to put a bike and laundry machines in the basement. The hostel seems also well maintained. The best hostel in Victoria!
The room was lovely with a nice view, very clean and comfortable. The breakfasts were very good and staff were helpful and pleasant. The location is perfect for the harbour and Downtown Victoria, and good value for money. The free secure parking and Wifi were a bonus too. All excelIent, I think this hotel deserves a higher star rating.
