We stopped in a no parking zone at the door of Edison's Inn...
We stopped in a no parking zone at the door of Edison's Inn and when we returned to move it, six minutes later, we had been ticketed. There was no one in sight. This meant that the ticketer must have seen us haul our suitcases out of the car and into the Inn. I realize we were in the wrong but there was nowhere else to stop. It would have been a courtesy, especially at Christmas, to just ask us to move on. Can't help feeling that Stratford is not welcoming tourists anymore.

Great place for the theatres and very walkable. We had dinner at Foster's which served excellent steaks.
There are theatres who put on shows for whatever your theatre interests. We saw La Cage aux Folles and thoroughly enjoyed it.

Stratford is a great town to visit.
Stratford is a great town to visit. I have been a few times and will go again. I love going to the theatre each time. We see 3-4 plays with at least one Shakespeare play. Restaurants: Blue Bird, Café Buffon, Mercers. Fellini's, Bentleys. Shops: White-Balmer Footwear, Bradshaws, Festival Shop, Village Studios and Rocky Mountain Chocolate to name a few. And beautiful parks. Walking is easy with wide sidewalks. People are friendly and accommodating.

The main reason to visit is for the theatre, and that is...
The main reason to visit is for the theatre, and that is very well taken care of.
A stroll along the Avon river to reach the Tom Patterson and Festival theatres is also very enjoyable.
There are a variety of restaurants...Italian, diners and good bars.
A key point is that every place is within easy walking distance, since many of the accommodations are downtown...a downtown that it s not large, but is quiet.

Festival plays are very professional and well done. Theaters are beautiful and staff is very helpful for people who need assistance. The city is a lot of fun with good restaurant choices. Walking in the park along the river is wonderful.

Several theatre to watch plays and musicals. Fantastic shops (mostly boutique shops) and many fabulous restaurants to choose from. A beautiful small town to walk around and a lovely, paved walking path along the river.

I think the location of this hotel is good, which is located in the central area of Stratford, so it was convenient to restaurants, city hall, and other stores. If you have a car, then everywhere will be close to you in this town, but if like me, who only went with her legs, the distance from the hotel to some theatres is a little bit far. It took me 15-20 mins to walk to Festival Theatre.
The shower worked well, and was very easy to figure out how to use. there were kleenex tissues in the bathroom which ought to be standard in hotels, but are not always found in hotels. the key-pass worked consistently and didn't become deactivated.
Early check in was facilated, interactions with staff was pleasant and cordial, meals were surprisingly good and at a great price too, rooms were very spacious and clean! In summary, this hotel met our expectations! No regrets!
