Clean, staff were friendly, bed was decently comfortable after a long drive. Good location, we got take out delivered as we were too tired to go back out. There is a free breakfast, but we didn't take advantage of that.

ugly town with a natural park between the town and the river. The park has beaver dams and salmon/trout fishing in really fast and dangerous rapids with slick rocks if you're a bold wade fisherman.

Liked the locks site and the friendly locals recommended the island trails. We brought water and used bug spray and enjoyed the stops and sights including some birds amongst walks/ marsh/ streams/ little ponds. Gets hot so be prepared.
Visitors info centre guide Mirella was great and got some detailed info and maps about area, local food/restaurants/sights and about Lake Superior Circle Tour. Proved really worthwhile. Centre is located near the locks and before border crossing.

We enjoyed a suite that had 3 beds-one bed in a separate room and 2 beds in an efficiency type room with a table and chairs. We loved that an excellent restaurant was attached to the hotel….food was excellent and also had a Starbucks for my daughter.

We were here for fall train trip and it was nice. Not needed again though. We went to a different place for every lunch and dinner. We had 2 serving staff that weren’t of a spicy attitude. The other 2 were nice and friendly. The food was fair but nothing that was amazing. I won’t go to the Sault again. Very pretty area though!

We went for fall foliage and were not disappointed- it was gorgeous! Hike Robertson Cliffs! We also did the Agawa Canyon Train and, hmm. We had hoped for a spectacular train ride, and it wasn't. The canyon itself is gorgeous, but you get 1 1/2 hours there which isn't much considering the train ride is 8 hours r/t. Most of the other passengers were elderly though so it seemed about right for the less mobile. We enjoyed the canal site and all the historical markers, but unfortunately went on Sunday and discovered the visitor center is closed on weekends. Huh? The seaplane museum was open and fascinating.

Explore guest reviews of hotels in Sault Ste. Marie
There was a glitch with my prior review and no comments were included. I booked this for my son son and GF who are moving back to Ontario after several years in Whistler, BC. They were on the road for a week and as a helpful reward for completing the long leg around Lake Superior from Thunder Bay I booked the Quattro for them. They said everything was awesome, the room, the hotel, the bar, the pool; and, of course, especially the hot tub. They had gotten up early in TB so arrived at the Quattro just past 4 pm and thoroughly enjoyed their stay!
Very tidy property in a great location for easy access in and out of Sault Ste Marie. Room was large, as was the very comfortable bed and pillows. Nice bathroom, plenty of hot water. Aircon only low noise when on, not like some noisier hotels. Good breakfast choice.
