Quality of food was good. Eating breakfast in our room very disappointing. Seating restrictions and access to mountain and river views from the deck were truly disappointing.

Domaine Steinbach Cidrerie B&B Distillerie, hotel in Saint-Jean

Domaine Steinbach Cidrerie B&B Distillerie is set in St-Pierre-de-l'Île-d'Orléans, on the banks of the St. Lawrence River in the heart of a property of 15 hectares with an orchard.

We we had breakfast on the main floor of the 300 year-old cabin. The decoration was elegant in the dining room but rustic and comfortable. The owner had set out. The our room was labeled in the refrigerator and on the side board sideboard were picnic baskets for each room with silverware, China and cloth napkins Breakfast was wonderful fresh croissant, good coffee, fruit yogurt, everything you would like for a healthy breakfast the main floor had a covered and comfortable outside sitting area overlooking the river inside was a sitting room for reading. Oh there is not a television in your room but Wi-Fi.

Wonderful location and staff were very welcoming. The breakfast was excellent, and Annie, the chef one morning we were there gave us her book of poetry, which was very sweet!

Ile d'Orleans is a perfect spot for "Foodies".

Ile d'Orleans is a perfect spot for "Foodies". With only one main road around the island it was very relaxing driving from spot to spot tasting all the various food & beverages offered. We had supper at a pub and lunch at a winery (both had excellent offerings) and our other meals were local food that we picked up for picnics. The variety is amazing and all the people are so friendly. Also a great place to chill out and watch the ships go by. We went during the week but can imagine it being busier during the weekend. If you can, it's worth climbing to the top of the observation tower for great views.

Don’t go to Ile d’Orleans on a day trip out of Quebec City! We regret staying only one night. Sylvie and Yves made us welcome and the accommodations first class (the brunch is 4 courses and a highlight of our time in Quebec). The location is walking distance to the beautiful village of Saint-Jean. highly recommend. We hope to return. Thank you for such hospitality.

The most perfect hotel experience I have ever had. The room, the pool, the perfect multi course breakfast on the patio overlooking the St Lawrence and our charming hosts, Sylvie and Yves.
