The room was clean, comfortable, and very spacious. The staff were amazing, and very patient given the amount of children/adults they were accommodating. CHINOOK INN, hotel in Rocky Mountain House

CHINOOK INN is a 3-star property set in Rocky Mountain House. All guest rooms come with air conditioning, a fridge, a microwave, a coffee machine, a bath, a hairdryer and a desk.

We booked a family room for 4 adults and 3 kids ( 4, 10 and 14). We received a bid spacious room with three double beds. There was enough place for everyone. The personnel was super welcoming and attentive to our needs. Everything in the room was very decent and clean. On our request we received a kettle and a kitchen knife plus some additional paper cups. We managed to move out of our room some 30mins after the check -out time but didn't get any inpatient knock on the door for that. In general the only issue we had was the amount of breathing, snoring, making other night noises people in one big room. It is my personal lesson for future- better to book at least two rooms in that case. On this stay we put the heater on ( not auto but ON) and its constant noise was a bit too much but made it possible for us all to sleep our night. Would definitely stay here again while traveling to the Rockies next time.

I liked that it was clean, what I didn't like was that for the price we payed we should have had better service like, more towels and coffee. Also the garbage was not taken out and there could have been more blankets.

This is the first time I have been to Rocky Mountain.

This is the first time I have been to Rocky Mountain. It was just lovely. It was bigger than I expected. So clean and so much to see. We took a little tour to Crimson Lake and what a beautiful area. If you camp there are tons of camping places. It was a real gem to find. I will recommend it to all my camping friends. I hope to go back and stay longer. My husband was on a canoeing trip, it will be something he does again. Just loved it all.

Small Alberta town, hard hit with the economic downturn I am sure. Has all the basics. Very nice, friendly people. Quaint main street, but many stores closed and gone. They do have a little theatre. We had good meals at Grillers and Cucina. Great place to stay if you are going to explore the surrounding area. Will return.

A nice fairly quiet town, with many amenities and chains.

A nice fairly quiet town, with many amenities and chains. Mostly on the main strip. However there are quite a few nice places in the downtown core which is a few streets away that you would not notice if travelling through. Sadly withe the covid 19 most shops didn't seem to be open in the downtown. The national historic site is a must.

RMH is very well located in northwest of Alberta, from there you can easily visit Crescent Falls (which is an amazing and huge water fall in Nordegg), also have a delightful day at Crimson Lake or enjoy the beach lake day at Sylvan Lake. The city has all amenities you need, supermarkets, drug markets, warehouse stores, pubs, restaurants, and all the fast food franchises. We have enjoyed also a bike pathways and very nice wakings, included visit to the National Historic Park and the Museum.

It was in the right spot for a quick detour from the icefields parkway - and saved us three hundred dollars over spending a night in the overpriced places along that drive. As a bonus, we got to drive past Abraham Lak and see it - it was amazing. The hotel was very clean and super quiet all night long. Had almost everything you need in a hotel. I would recommend it.

Beautiful location and easily accessible being on the main drag. Beds were comfy and the room was very clean. We were on the main level and close to the entrance which was nice for my mom with a bit of mobility issues. Chinese restaurant was beside the hotel and food was exceptional. Nice to see deer wandering around the property and not afraid.

the hotel was a bit run down, but the room was clean, and comfortable. Seemed they were short-staffed but that seems to be the case in most places.
