Breakfast was great - choice of shakshuka or traditional Canadian breakfast: eggs, bacon, sausage, toast, pancakes, etc.
Room was extremely clean. I believe they said it has all been renovated in the past few years. The bathroom looked new, eveyrthing worked (hot water, fridge, fans), no window leaks (air or bugs).
Location was close to Lion Head hiking and about 1 hour away from Tobermory / Bruce Peninsula. There is also a short walk to a public beach access across the street.
Staff was friendly and welcoming for check in and at the restaurant.
Firepit was great at night with friends and to meet others staying on property. There was also live music until 11pm on Saturday.
Wifi was pretty strong and could get through some work emails or watch a video.
Also, it is one of the few dog friendly properties, which is a major reason we chose to stay here. There were about 5+ dogs that overlapped our stay but everyone was respectful and gave space.
Just 1.9 mi from Lake Huron, MellowOut B&B prepares a free breakfast each morning and has Wi-Fi throughout the property.

This B&B is simply spectacular: immaculately clean room, amazingly friendly hosts, and delectable homemade breakfast! We really enjoyed our stay with Maureen and Ed.

Loved that the property had a private beach and a private pool. Beautiful, well kept grounds, with volleyball, tire swings, horseshoes, fire pit area and benches for sitting. VHS in rooms with hundreds of free VHS movies in the rec hall to pick from. A blast from the past but our weather took a turn for the worst so we welcomed the movies!

Just wanted to share our experience for staying 1 night at this motel!! We found it's NOT really worth it to pay for the price of $163+ of this motel at all. The motel is old and the facilities are not as good as we thought(with this price and the pictures that mentioned on the site). The bedsheet and comforter were not too clean and with some yellowish colors on them. Thank God we bought our own pillows. And the washroom was not equipped and the hand soap was crappy. We took so long to wash off the smell and slimy feel on our hands! And the water was so stinky (probably the pipes were so old) that we had to use our own water to brush our teeth! And we're afraid to use their towels also. And there's a door near the washroom that wasn't locked and we opened it then there's a hallway that can exit to their kitchen and/or to the back of the building. We found it so creepy and NOT safe at all!! So overall we found it's NOT really worth it how much we paid for it at all! So we definitely would not be coming back again to stay there again!! Thanks.

The view is amazing - even in rain. Very serene. Exceptionally clean and organized. The hostess put fresh cream for our coffee in the fridge. There were tons of things to do for families. Tons. The landscaping - “chef’s kiss”!
