We weren’t able to visit Pt Elgin, but we found it to be quite convenient for a stop off before heading for the ferry At Tobermory. We’ll come back!
Our only problem was navigating through the Toronto/kitchener part of southern Ontario and finally get to the main route(s) leading to Pt Elgin! Would study the map better next time and find out where road construction sites are.

I have been going to Port Elgin for over 50 years and it is my Happy Place. The beaches are beautiful and the residents are always friendly. Port Elgin has changed a lot over the years but it still feels amazing to visit...even if just a day or two.

Great city.
Great city. Hotel accomodations very good, clean and friendly. Great buffet breakfast included in stay. Only thing annoying was the heater in room...was quite noisy while running. Would wake me each time it kicked-in. Overall, would return and use this facility.

Ice cream on the beach is always a treat! Beautiful amd safe swimming beach area. There are lots of play areas for kids to enjoy.

I have been coming to Port Elgin for years because of the beach and atmosphere. We ate our for all meals and we were surprised by the poor service and attitude of the restaurant staff. I wanted to believe it was because of Covid but to be honest the restaurants were not busy.

Beautiful Town, great beaches.
Beautiful Town, great beaches. Beware of Geese droppings on paths and the Seagulls can be brutal- don’t feed them.Great trails . Paths along Lake are second to none. Sunsets are unbelievable. Southampton and Sauble Beach very close . Restaurant’s are hit and miss. Provincial parks close by

This hotel is very well run. Staff are accommodating and work very hard. Our room was spacious and lacked nothing. The room setup is such that each on ground floor have walkout with a pair of chairs. The bathroom was huge, large walk-in shower. Hotel has outside and inside pools, indoor hot tub and sauna, lots of fresh towels. Breakfast is excellent but was very busy when we went, could not find table, as lots of couples do not share space. Hotel walking distance to several eateries.
Not applicable, although we did get 10% off our breakfast at the independent cafe beside the hotel.
Room was very clean. TV/internet and cable were very good.
