Love love love this motel!! These ladies did a fabulous job with literally everything. Every moment and detail has been thoroughly thought out, and it shows. They nailed the interior design - it’s chic and fun and I wish more hotel/motels put this much effort into their aesthetic (coming from an interior designer). My favorite part though, is the cleanliness - I don’t think I’ve ever been in such a clean hotel and personally, that’s the most important aspect for me. I even felt comfortable using the throw pillow and blanket on the bed (which never ever happens). They provide a noise machine in the room, and if you’re like me and need white noise to sleep, the ac/fan unit offered the perfect amount of white noise, I felt like I was sleeping at home. Highly recommend!!

Picton and Prince Edward County is suitable for short stays, ~4. Some of the attractions are not open in the winter. The location's activities are heavily skewed towards three-season summer activities. The Royal Canadian Navy archives are in Picton as well as a huge number of books on naval and boat things. I found it easy to spend a half day there.

Picton is a great town to stay in if you are visiting Prince Edward County. There are great restaurants in town and the surrounding area. Picton is close to many wineries, and parks as well. You can stay in town and walk every where.

The restaurant at Merrill House has an amazing chef. We had an outstanding dinner and breakfast. Food was like music in my mouth. I would highly recommend this restaurant. The Inn is a beautiful old mansion with cool modern art. Pictor has a lot to offer and so close to many attractions. Would recommend lake on the mountain, sandbanks and waupoos winery.

To be honest, there were not much restaurant so, the price is a bit higher and difficult to find the place during the pick time. There is one steak restaurant recommended by hotel, I had horrible experience. The price is very high comparing the portion of the food and unfriendly staffs. (I prefer the KEG) For the next time, I don't want to make the hotel reservation in Picton. I would suggest to go to Kingston instead.

It's a nice place. Nice and clean.

It's a nice place. Nice and clean. It's an old house, so the floors squeak. Not a big deal. It is a self check in and check out. I know there were "owners" there, we saw them when we arrived, but that was it. The phone left as contact did not answer. Emails about early check in were not replied. We checked in about 2 ours early and it was fine. Simple room (yellow rrom - twin bed and private bathroom) but they didn't mention the bathroom was in the hall, not in the room.

The staff were helpful and friendly. The two waitresses who looked after us at the Pub in the evening and at breakfast were excellent. Our room was a nice size with all the amenities. Breakfast was included and the menu had a great selection to choose from. The grounds are beautiful with a garden and gazebo. They have live music in the Pub which was excellent. It was the first stay for my partner and I at The Waring House and the reason we went was to see the singer Cathy Hutch who was performing there. We would definitely go back again.

Very elegant room and decor, and most importantly, a very comfortable and supportive mattress! We drove all the way from Toronto to Montreal and stayed in five hotels and this one was the one I slept the best. Also this hotel offers breakfast in bed which is great for traveling or vacationing! The staff was very good communicating and nice. the hotel location is a three minute walk to a local dt street. It was very good experience.

The concierge Shawn was exceptionally friendly and attentive. The house is decked out beautifully for the holidays, and we appreciated all of the touches in the room such as the welcome snacks and beverages. The included breakfast is light (croissants and juice), but based on the off season pricing we were more than happy to check out the local restaurants for something more substantial.
