Had trouble at check in but it was handled well.
We got up too late for breakfast sadly so I can’t say anything about that. But the room was nice, I had the bags tied up and everything ready for the cleaning ladies at check out. Pool was a little cold but not bad and the hot tub was perfect,wasn’t too hot!
Check out was fast and simple. Definitely recommend staying here

If you are traveling (flying) out of Edmonton it is difficult to beat the Renaissance Edmonton hotel … especially in the depths of winter. There is nothing better than catching an early morning flight when you don’t even need to go outside … just walk from your hotel room directly to the departure area … no bulky winter coat … no taxi or shuttle necessary.
It is an exceptional facility with great staff and very good rooms. The dining room is excellent and reception is extremely helpful.

Nisku is close to airport-- but Leduc is closer.
Don't really want to knock Nisku but we've agreed Leduc would be our choice for a place to stay.

Nisku is a very convenient location for those needing access...
Nisku is a very convenient location for those needing access to the airport. Most hotels offer shuttle service which is very convenient. The hotel I stayed at also offered parking for my vehicle while I was away for a very minimal cost compared to airport fees. I would highly recommend people stay at Nisku if you are considering staying overnight prior to an early flight or after a late arrival. The hotel I stayed at had a very reasonable price and was well worth what I paid. The only downfall about Nisku is that there are very few (if any) fast food places, so if you are in a hurry or are looking for food outside of regular restaurant hours, you have to cross the QE2 overpass and look for places on the airport side. It would be nice if there was a Tim Hortons or McDonalds or something similar on the Nisku side.

Lots to do from shopping, casinos and the horse track. I would also recommend the Rig Hand Distillery down the road (6min away). Even if you're not a big drinker the restuarant is so amazing and it's kid friendly..has a playground and wall climbing, it's really a hidden gem, they do tours as well.

Very convenient to YEG.
Very convenient to YEG. Nisku was a hamlet with a few grain elevators and few houses in my youth. The Nisku kids came to Leduc for their schooling. Now none of the hamlet remains among the oil industry lay down yards and service businesses. Even the west side of highway 2 is changed (there's a farm that farms aluminum: camper and trailer storage!)

The room was awful.
The room was awful. From broken AC unit, broken fridge, broken curtains and broken toilet. When addressed with front desk they said there was nothing they could do because hotel was at capacity. So we had light pouring through the windows (hallway windows so always light) an ac unit that made a sound like it was going to explode every 15 seconds...alllllll night...so no one slept which destroyed the entire reason for the stay. When I discussed the with manager the next day he offered me 30% of my NEXT stay. I will absolutely never be back and will continue to tell people how awful this experience was. He truly did not care. I guarantee nothing was fixed and they carried on letting that room to other travelers.

We went out and eat at Black Jacks, the food could of been a lot better and the service was very poor, we waited for our food for over an hour. It was easy getting around in Nisku. I wouldn't go back to eat at Black Jacks again it's a waste of time and your money.

We had a business trip to Leduc and the hotel's location was very easy for us. Good access to any direction. The mattresses were very comfortable, though pillows could be better. The staff is very friendly and the cleanliness is excellent.
Great hotel and close to airport. Very clean rooms, comfortable beds and spacious bathrooms. I stay at this hotel every time I'm in Edmonton for a reason. its great. Lots of space for parking. I can not comment on the restaurant,
