We liked the historical aspect. However, we thought the " organic" was being taken a little to seriously. We're all in favors of choices, and didn't like having this view pushed so hard on us almost every where we went in town.

Nelson has great character.
Nelson has great character. Beautiful buildings, excellent restaurants and an amazing setting on. kootenay Lake. The only issue we had was parking was difficult to find but then, it was Valentine’s Day so maybe it’s not always so bad.

It is beautifully situated and the setting is picturesque. However the town is not pretty with too many ugly buildings of an industrial nature near the shoreline.

Stunning little city with independent shops and eateries all within a couple of blocks. The river walk to the park and beach was lovely. Even the scenery from the car journey to get to Nelson was fabulous!

Nelson is a great place to get some exercise by just walking everywhere up and down the hills to get a view of the town and surrounding area from Gyro Park, or hike up to Pulpit Rock,
Nelson has a great waterside park with a great beach, kayak rentals etc
This hotel has beautiful facilities and a great location. The rooms are well appointed, and the rooftop is fantastic with great seating, picnic tables, a hot tub and mats and space for yoga. It was a great place for a family gathering. The staff were lovely and very helpful. The place is super pet friendly. All round it was a wonderful stay and place for a family gathering.
Nelson is a lovely town, with plenty to see and do. The property was very close to the town, but not disrupted by the noise or people visiting. Having off street parking was vital, as we saw very strict parking enforcement officers in action. There was plenty of space in our rooms, with a very well equipped kitchen area; everything we needed was there.
All staffs are very friendly and helpful. I travel a lot, it is hard to have a nice comfortable mattress in most of the hotels. The mattress in Alpine Inn and Suites is firm enough and very comfortable. The location is not exactly in downtown, it is away from the stores and bars. The room is quiet.
The location of this hotel is excellent - we walked all around downtown Nelson and felt we got to know the city a bit after 4 days. The Hume is a clean, beautiful historic hotel with attentive staff.
location was excellent good service dinner was ok not as good as expected fries were cold breakfast was ok waitress were excellent better breakfast than most hotels
